Asda to scrap incab camera

This came up on my phone not a member so can’t read full article.
But says Asda has scrapped incab cameras on its delivery vans. Good on them I say

Probably because in cab monitoring attracts the bottom feeders as they can’t find jobs anywhere else.

Nah you know the score mate what they feed us… and what the servile and gullible go on to repeat.

‘‘They are there for OUR (drivers) benefit’’.

And

‘‘If you are doing nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about’’

I always get those points in first on threads about in cab cameras,.because you can bet your wage that some 'kin balloon is gonna come out with it.
:joy:

Guessing the union got involved or something.to get them stopped. If only everyone refused to drive anything with a camera. But always get those that don’t care and need the job/money.
Don’t need them anyway as cameras are everywhere on roads streets door bells cctv dash cams etc so if ever was an accident there’s bound to be footage of who’s to blame

There lies the problem mate, in a crappy type firm that use these abortions it has to be everyone, or at least a large majority, no good just one or two…but too many yes men and invertebrates in the job today.

Employees can ask for the in cab camera to be turned off if the driver is on a private telephone call on a break.
Or off when on a break in the cab.

There’s cctv in the loo at the Wetherspoon in Bath that says if anyone is seen going in to the cubicle with someone else they will be ejected from the pub and banned.

They can ask wtf they want…it doesnt say the firm is gonna comply.
And don’t come back with ‘‘It’s the law’’ bol0cks, cos it aint.

There are cameras everywhere in town shops cafes restaurants etc.
In pubs it’s all comes under the heading of ‘‘door security’’ … like hoying out annoying gob sh s with too much to say …

What’s that got to do with the intrusion of a ‘‘1to1’’ camera in a truck cab exactly?

There are specialist lawyers and solicitors that assist drivers who are not too happy about being filmed when they are working and on their leisure time when sat in the cab or resting on the bunk.
The lads at our place put BluTack on the camera lens.

WHO are these ‘‘Specialist Lawyers’’ ?
How many cases of this nature have they won for drivers?
How come it/they aint well known in the industry?

They are definitely out there, the one I saw said it comes down to what the employee signs for in the employment contract, on the subject of cab cameras and how the employer stores the recording, for how long for and so on.

Lymn services have a camera / huge screem outside the gents filming you as you go in. Granted only shows you walking though the entrance but still no need for it

That’s right Edd, that’s a bit odd, why do they need to film anyone going in to the entrance of the toilets?

Ok so judging by the rules that YOU posted it looks like these ‘‘Specialist Lawyers’’ who ‘‘Are definitely out there’’ will be sat with their fingers up their arses with nowt to do…cos as far as I know (and complying to the rules you posted) all in cab driver facing cameras go off with the ignition.

I’d be surprised if they do.
Your office manager or who ever might tell you there turned off when ignition is off or when parked up for the night.
But who can 100% prove thery are .off .
you office says yes there turned off. How do you know?.
Is a minefield really legal wise .
say the Chinese hacked in and we’re spying on us..
They could be know and you’d never know.

You could always put a sock over it :face_with_peeking_eye:

I’ve been doing that since I was 14. Apparently my “special” sock could populate an entire planet should we develop the means to travel there
