I think they have artics but not certain
Phone a agencey! They might even pay you!
I offer five-day refresher courses driving an artic, with a chance to get hands-on experience of making deliveries throughout the UK and I only charge £250 for these.

One other possible way …
Contact a local haulier that uses artics on day runs and offer to go out unpaid and drive with an experienced driver for the day which will then leave their own driver with more driving & working time for that week

Knowing Harry, that is probably a genuine offer with a tongue in cheek adlib.

No, it was satire, based on the greed of hauliers I have known, the reality is that my truck is insured “named-driver-only”.
Agree with the idea of going out for the day just to gain experience though, I’ve been on both sides of this, just after I passed my test I went out with a friend on a Sunday morning to deliver newsprint to Fleet Street in a Swain’s ERF C60, roped and sheeted on a flat trailer of course. I didn’t do any driving but I did learn an enormous amount.
I’ve also taken a couple of newly-passed mates out with me on trips to Germany when I was doing that- I did let them do a fair bit of the driving although I wouldn’t do it now, what with all the enforcement and cameras everywhere.
Not sure about their Guildford site, but did my training with them at Slough and they use artics rather than wag & drag there.

Isn’t there a relatively new training school popped up down Nelson Way in Yorktown ind. est, in Camberley now??
I think Jcoates in Guildford only have wag and drag.

I wasnt aware of that mate I will pop down there.tomorrow n have a look. Is it.jcm or something like that?
Cheers.
J Coates move all their vehicles up and down the country when needed. All their Guildford vehicles are actually in Slough anyway, they just run em down to Guildford to meet the trainees.
When I was in their depot last, they had an artic there. No harm in just ringing them up.

I’m not sure mate, I swear I have seen some training vehicles in the middle of the concrete bit manoeuvring and stuff.
Looked like a few of them was parked up there.
