If the LGV C job is really good then get C+E but stick with the C job until something better comes along in the future

Many think because they have C+E that they should be using it but often a job driving a smaller vehicle can reap more rewards

Seconded. A friend of mine is one of those people and who thinks that because he has C+E he shouldn’t drive anything else and as a result has had to take stuff many people wouldn’t touch.

Many of the jobs I’ve truly enjoyed have been Cat C such as pottering around for a building firm knowing you’ll start at 8 and finish at 5, pottering around for one of the pallet networks, pottering around for a local chain of stores (Boyes), doing waste food compactors for an animal feed company.

Depending WHAT the job is, I’d probably stick with that Class 2 job (unless it’s Brakes or similar, I can’t hack those) for that money, you’d struggle to match it hour for hour on artic to be honest.

See how it goes

Compare to 80 quid a day with no holidays no overtime no nothing. Payslips showing minimum wage and rest showed as expenses and im only 4 miles away from work, same start for all ,different finish time usually 6.30 till 17.00-30 lorries knackered, deliveries in country lanes my god plus use of private phone unpaid, boots once a year if you lucky, but no problems with money and every other saturday guaranteed so its 400 and 480 every other week wchih is not too bad on crane work anyone interested i may be helpful if interview successful

Bit of a contradiction …

No mater if I pass

then

if I pass

28k for class 2 with all that is better than most class 1 jobs to be honest

Iknow at least about three full time jobs in kent for min 90 quid a day after tax with no experience needed or very little…for class1

Yeah, but WHAT HOURS?? The job you posted was £110 per day +/- for 45hr week, I very much doubt they 90 quid per day Class 1 jobs you’re talking about are for a 9hr day…

4am start ,finish ± 3 pm ,every night at home no handballing etc new lorries mainly Mercedes,30 quid per First 3 jobs fourth 20 pounds-- if u like to do extra load 1-2 times a week not too bad isnt chap

All after tax obviously

It’s still 11hrs to earn what the Class 2 job was doing in 9hrs.

And it’s paid per job, so when ■■■■ goes wrong, your earning plummets, whereas that other is paid salary / hourly…

Do what you want, and I’m sure if I’d just passed my C+E I’d want to drive a bendy too, but I go to work for the money, and was getting more per hour last week in a Class 2 on pallet network ■■■■ than I was a few weeks ago in an artic tanker with some seriously deadly ■■■■■ on the back

Yes agree

Care to say who this job to end of jobs is for? Sounds a good craic. Hope it works out for you
