Saw a Polish truck last year at Dover with a brilliantly done tribute to 303 Sqn RAF; the squadron crest, Spitfire, etc all in grey-scale. 303 was the highest scoring, in terms of kills, squadron in the Battle of Britain, manned almost entirely by Poles. A nice sentiment.
Chris Hayes Volvo in Trucking mag cover. Understated but class. Bit of colour coding, a few lights and alloys with silver metallic paint.
As for button leather interiors…WTF!!
If a song lyric could sum up the subject of this thread:-
#It was acceptable in the eighties…
I see one of these things now and I immediately think of funfairs and waltzers, Phoenix nights tv program, mullet haircuts, those mirrored 1980s “top gun” plastic shades you could buy on Skegness pier, those paintings of ladies and panthers against a black backdrop that adorned the 1980s council house walls of my mate’s parents. Just general tacky tat really
Each to their mulleted own of course
“rayyyyyv-on”!
Sensational,a sight to behold indeed.

If i had my own kit i would favour this above the stale machismotary on display all too regularly.I remember seeing an awesome one years ago dedicated to the peerless Deep Purple band in …er…radiant purple, wonderous sight to behold.Hope its still around.was that the Deep purple belonging to Frank Hudson Transport which was converted to a rigid ?
soz for late reply.Didnt clock the name tbh,was just spellbound by the thing,as a Purple fan Made In Japan albums never far from my cd player, fab driving music.I think the re-mastered album has the mind blowing Black Night extravaganza on it.Highly recommended.

Thats another story, there must be a ■■■■■■/sociological apocalypse going down that makes the younger generation en-masse,sport the Hamish sect look.I see some hideous speicimens on my travels theses days,Abraham Lincoln/mountain man hybrids abound.Appalling, not much fun for their women folk i imagine when going south.Velcro entanglement issues.
I would imagine the artwork could kill the reale value of the truck.
My mate has a yacht installation firm and has his van decorated with a yachting theme. He can apply heat and remove the whole lot so the van looks normal. Its sounds like a better option.

Is money really relevant when you get to go to Truckfest on your days off, in truck covered in pictures of country singers nobody’s really heard of?

Asking for any wage is an insult when the boss paints Johnny Depp dressed as a pirate on your wagon.

I bet that goes down well when he’s transiting Germany.

Not as well as they did, encountering 303.
