does anybody know where the best place to park on a night by the arndale (or as near to it as possible) is? as i am going up there to do yet more promotional work tomorrow night and will be there until sunday evening. i would like it near a pub that does good food but dont want to be in a rough/noisy area. or what are the best services to park at near manchester as the boss is paying up front this time so im not really bothered!
any advice would be appreciated.
also how do you get to the arndale delivery area (is there such a thing?)
Not aware of any parking near the Arndale as it is right in city centre. Depending what direction you are going from, you could stop at Birch services (between 19 & 18 on M62) if you park westbound side, you can walk off services to a pub that does food its only 200 yards away

they are still a bit jumpy even now it was a truck that the bomb was in when the arndale got blew up
Tell me about it, I was supposed to be working there that day, but I got a phone call that morning and moved to another job in a different town to cover sickness!!
Look towards north west past Shudehill to the junction of A665 Ring Road and A664.
Between Cable St and Addington St (1 way from A664) there is a lot of spare ground. I have parked there unit only before, but since then they have flattened a lot more buildings making it much more exposed. (not ideal if you like a drink b4 bed )
Be warned during the day its heavily used for car parking.
There’s a foreign guy wanders around with a sachel ■■■■■ collecting money for parking. However he is unable to provide any ID or a company address or phone number. Make up your own mind!
(wish i’d thought of it, this guy must be making a mint!)

No, but I was on duty with the Military Police in Aldershot and had to drive the detachment commander back to Shorncliffe in Kent to co-ordinate the military/civil police liaison
