Hi there after a bit of advice for my son in law who is a army driver with no cpc he is wanting to do a bit of agency top up work but needs an initial cpc what is best way to go about this tried to book case studies with dvla but will only let him do theory test which he has already passed thanks for any advice in advance

I worked with a Spanish lad who’d got his HGV’s but no DCPC, he was a mechanic not a driver, but would have been useful if he could have driven a truck now and then.
We phoned up a local HGV driving school and they could get it done and wasn’t horrendously expensive or time consuming.
The option to book the cpc part 2 is on the website.
After he has passed this he then needs to do the part 4 which he needs a truck for. Most driving schools offer this and it costs about £250
