Can t think where its gonnae be,might be sharing with that long lane distribution.Think its gonnae be trunked fae lockerbie to bhill then distributed fae there. At the minute Grampian Maclennans trunk fae lockerbie to dundee and then they distribute to stores in the north and north east.Arla run up from lockerbie and deliver glasgow edinburgh and central belt themselves.

That long lane building must be massive, one point it had 3663,yearsley, and mcdonalds think 3663 moved out though.

arla are’nt afraid of spending money, i live a 10 min walk from their hq in leeds and about 30 mins from their rdc.

‘…Found out today that Arla are opening up a place…’ etc

Furthermore, what (if any) bits in the Arla portfolio are in jeopardy with the pending mega-dairy now being dug-out near Aylesbury & is forecast to open Dec 2012?

Heard that this morning, fellow agency driver had been talking to one of their TMs

Some changes in the pipeline at Fedex Gretna too, so far all I’ve heard for sure is routes being replanned.

It’s not Arla that are planning to increase production at Lockerbie but the cheese company, Glanbia. They want to use the whole site for their means. Negotiations are taking place to offer the drivers either a transfer to the new place at Bellshill or a transfer to Glanbia.
