Knew it was going to close for ages used to work for Arla, Shame
it was, I believe, one of the dairies ear marked for closure after Aylesbury was built.
Especially as they lost the Tesco contract to Muller …output was down anyway.
Drivers going to Bidvest I heard from a mate who has been there half a lifetime.

PCL is an arm of Bidvest they bought it in July 2014 …Along with other companies

I understand that Bidvest own 51% of PCL and indeed run Renaults: Their units are broadly unrestricted and PCL won’t whinge if you thump along at max-chat on non-motorways …but why would anyone do that when their route programme is tight
Expect to be put on a non-negotiable 5 on, 2 off; 6 on, 1 off shift rota at Aylesbury, with prospect of the sack if you chew gum, take Nutella butties or peanuts to work in your nosh-box
im trying to get transfered to westbury now

Wait till the butter plant , cheese and yoghurt making is working properly …all sorts will be leaving there in all manner of vehicles I reckon . Probably a couple weeks of years time .
If u can get on milk farm collections Its a absolute doddle should be loads of vacancies as our work is going there but none of us are going to TUPE too far although I’m trying West bury hopefully as I got girl down that way with accom

Unless one can get on the ‘product-in’, raw milk collections, some of which also trunk-out in the bespoke built, tanker-trailers - as is done by Arla bods (in green uniform & running the PCL liveried & managed unit fleet), it’s not a very good news day for you, matey
The “Arla” ‘product-out’ is a higher proportion of PCL drivers (in blue uniform, and I understand on a lower wage with less brilliant perks) quite often running multi-drop. The runs might not all be tail-lift, but I can’t imagine much charity being granted if you’re in their plan for them
It sounds a bit weird because it is …but I understand that Arla mostly take-on from proven blokes getting lucky having gone through the PCL subby and their feeder agencies, etc, which is another story
Cheers Happy Keith,as you say it does sound a bit " weird " maybe too weird for me
It would be on the agency, stuff being a FTW had enough of that full time malarkey to last me a life time
Thanks also 3 wheeler and Top mixer, appreciate your views

New Renault on “Only Eco Mode”
Bit late to the party replying to this, but I’m sad for all the drivers losing their jobs through this. I got my hgv start at turners, based in this dairy, back in 2008. There’s a few drivers who have been there a long long time, most of which helped me loads when I first started, I’m gutted for them. I left last year so I’m unaffected, thankfully.
