If he was driving a V12 Jag he would have been faster, and so well past when that car pulled out in front.
And a decent “A” frame trailer would have pulled him into a straight line under braking.
Guessing he had emergency braking systems in his car. Good job he didn’t turn it off then.
I’ve driven a few dustcarts with automatic braking and they were downright dangerous IMO. They basically do a brief emergency stop if they detect a ‘hazard’, which is usually a car in front turning left or something straight ahead when approaching a bend. One truck jammed the brakes on for a split second just as I was about to turn into a corner and almost caused me to go up the kerb (I didn’t know the truck even had that function at that point!).
