Argos strike.

Got any deliveries here? Wasn’t it their drivers kicking up recently?

fair play to them but i’m seeing more and more argos trailers getting pulled by Stobart so its only a matter of time before the inevitable happens…

no, the green slime (stobarts) are doing the magna park work till dec when the depot shuts down, the other sites are run by wincanton and the home delivery sites by dhl.
Sainsburys supposed to not want stobarts doing argos work (sainsburys now own argos)

They went on strike because of there terms and conditions it was supposedly across all sites with wincanton drivers.

Stobarts are appalling, easily the worst performing haulier out of our depot…for example…had a collection booked for 2100, enquired when they might like to show up at 2145 to be told by the Stobarts office that the driver planned for the load was actually on holiday…and then they laughed as if it was a joke.
Finally got collected at 0600 in the morning.

Regularly 5-9 hrs late on collections…Sainsburys just shrug their shoulders and say “It’s Stobarts, they’re always like it”!

This warehouse will be closed anyway as soon leicestermercury.co.uk/argos … story.html

That’s the common theme that lost them a lot of the Coca Cola work. They operate a silo pick system and when the pallets are ready they go on the vehicle straight from the line. If there’s no vehicle, the pallets stay put and it brings the line to a halt. Stobarts were told in no uncertain terms that however big they are, they aren’t big enough to dictate to coke. Either turn up when asked, or not at all

Yeah - that coke gets right up your nose…

But in most Coca cola sites no so much spaces to park empty trailer and do drop and swap.

Im not talking about taking drop and swaps. I’m talking about live loads. They were constantly holding up the lines at Edmonton and Wakefield
