I went there last week, and this was one of 2 signs on the barrier, what does it mean??
Think it’s something to do with container drivers claiming squatters rights after a 12 hour tip
Hazard a guess. They’ve been trying to claim they were there first to get tipped. I’ll ask at the weekend when i pop in for something
Silly question time, but…
Why does it have Argos/Homebase logo on the sign in an Asda RDC?

All i can think of it’s because Wincanton also do the transport for them.
is this the back of store?
It looks more like its on the gate at the Argos RDC in Kettering.

That would probably answer my earlier silly question.
It is the RDC at Kettering, as bald bloke says, they do both contracts there.
I am going there tomorrow, answer to follow tomorrow night (if i remember!)
Thinking about it there ain’t no Asda Kettering nearest is Adsa Bedford.
Isn’t all Asda transport in house anyway?

Nope.

‘transport’ is, unless there’s something I don’t know.
No ASDA RDC in Kettering either. If there was, i’d work there!!!
I would hazard a guess its to stop fellows nighting out in there if they run out of hours or some such.

Oops i got that wrong then i thought some depots didn’t do their
own transport.
sorry people, i have no idea why i wrote Asda, it was Argos!
I asked the shunters (3 blokes and they were really helpful, moved my trailer from bay to bay while i had an hours sleep) what the sign meant, a bit awkward to explain… (Its container related)
When you deliver or load there you have to drop your trailer on a bay, shunters put an airline lock on so drivers cant back under trailer and pick it up, what Wincanton drivers and their subbies tend to do is to second guess which trailer is going to be ready next and back under it before the loading/tipping is finished. This is not allowed, and staking your claim is their way of saying do not claim a trailer to be yours by backing under it.

There is but its a supermarket not RDC, been there about 3 years, took over the old Coop supermarket/travel agents/furniture showroom.
well, you can bet your life it’s a load of bollox if Wincanton has anything to do with it !!!
