Are you concerned/bothered about the corona virus?

To put it simply…You are wrong.

Here is a little clue why.

to put it even simpler, its mostly the same as the flu and will spread like the flu and affect everyone in a similar way to the flu,and i cant be assed bothering to your pedantic nitpicking pish anymore,so its time for this again…

Which part of 3% v 0.1% fatality rate and airborne.
More like a version of the common cold, seemingly caught from animals, that’s even more contagious than the cold virus, with a penchant for causing pneumonia and/or organ failure. Didn’t you understand.

( Personally I’m leaning more towards an artificial bio weapon, than the idea that it was caught by a Chinese peasant eating live bat and noodles for dinner and then spread from that ). Assuming the former that obviously leaves the question of those ‘rescue’ flights out of Wuhan.

The smoking gun might be the questions if it can transmit from other mammals to humans why haven’t humans then spread it back to pets and animals.IE why only one way transmissability and between two specific, but different, species of mammal. As though it’s been extracted from Bats etc then modified so as to infect humans.Obviously no need for the reverse.
Or even synthesised by combining different types of pathogens of the common cold viruses to create one super type one.SARS being just a prototype.

Trump declares state of health emergency in the USA, mocks the EU for not taking measures, 30 day travel ban for EU-US. NBA season suspended. Yup, all media scaremongering, nothing unusual :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

WHO (finally) declares a pandemic:

Wuhan, Hubei Province is the Porton Down of China, has been since 2015.
I spoke with a BBC journalist a few weeks back and he told me this before it was common knowledge in the UK at least.
We discussed a few things and decided that it was all a little too perfect, as regards the actual virus, the timing and the effect and the Global timing regarding economics.

The control of the people of China is simply amazing, however as they have been able to stop the virus, then expect similar controls to be ushered in for our own interests, it is far easier to extract your money if the state have more controls…This is the only aspect of the virus that causes me concern and it did cause my journalist friend some concern when I mentioned it, that was before the Chinese response was actually successful.

You can be sure that whatever comes from this Global situation, it won`t be good for us…Probably in ways we have never even imagined.

When it comes back and it shall, because it does not kill all hosts, it is selective…Then we will have a real change to our social conditions at every level.

Think about how we live and what has happened in the last 30 years and how we are so much more controlled now, then use your imagination in order to extract the maximum amount of money that you can from every human in your country, then use that money for more control measures and so on…

People seem to forget or don’t know there history this kind of thing is going on for centuries
You had the bang in 2008 well this is just another form of the same thing with a double blow, a new flu and the economy collapsing
It’s called the circle of life, we were due another bang about now anyway, once they get the meds sorted to combat it, it will be life as normal for all the world except for the fools who think not

It has mutated twice in the last 3 months, so any meds are going to have to be good.

Con Coughlin, defence correspondent for the Telegraph, wrote about the man made virus possibility a couple of weeks ago, but surprisingly it didn’t seem to be picked up by any other main stream media outlets.

Offical advice is to self quarantine for 2 weeks.
So all us truck drivers should survive be last humans on earth.
We don’t need to worry were outlive everyone else.
Long as that Swedish lady trucker survives (don’t know her name but keep seeing links to her vids on here. ) then all.good.

Think about it

We spend all week in our truck.
Alone.
Most places you tip at you have minimal contact with ouside world
security bod is behind a glass screen .
Reverse onto a bay . Sit in truck set off again.

You want food.
most go.to local fast-food place again minimal. Contact with staff all.ordered on a touch screen then you collect it.

Need fuel no problems use self service pay at pump sites again no human contact.

Need to use toilet again no problem.
We.just go behind our truck again minimal contact with humans again.

Park.up for night again no human contact locked up isolation over night.

^^^ if that’s a description of the life of a modern driver it’s little wonder so many of these outfits can only get ee’s to do it for the money, sounds more like a harsh sentence for a crime than a job.

He forgot the carrier bag part…

That’s gotta be the clincher for most.

Back at the yard despite the previous bunch not bothering with CoV19 questionaires, the 4 on 4 off change over yesterday of the security bods in the gatehouse, they’ve suddenly started handing out the questionnaires about previous travel even to the drivers based in that yard. The 2 simple questions ask If you’ve been to any high risk areas, to which I replied “yes mate I’ve just been to Yarmouth” at this point the who gatehouse erupted in laughter.

However this morning the dispatch clerk told me one of the staff drivers had contracted the virus along with his wife, and neither of them have been out of the country. However I smell a rat and suspect that they are not being truthful

Today Western governments are mostly insolvent and they know it (and let’s not give private corporations a free pass here for outsourcing production+capital+investment=power to China). China now has a lot of direct and indirect influence over many of its Western ‘trading partners’ aka China’s ■■■■■■■ like Australia so we don’t want to upset them. Even if the virus wasn’t man made (no definitive proof for now) the Gov’t of the PRC did try to play down the scale of the disease, even arrested the doctor who first tried to sound the alarm?!? who recently died from the co-vid btw but we don’t hear many criticizing them.

Yeh… My brother the cuddly toy - obtained by sending off the “tokens” from this particular product back in the day, and all!

The original “Token” - Just think! :stuck_out_tongue:

robertsons withdrew the “tokens” due to complaints from the immigration service as they were being misused as passport photos.

apart from that, the jacks used to be called sambos and were 4 for a penny.

Indeed they were. “Two for a ha’penny” which was the only use we had for ha’pennys other than the slot machines that used to be on Hastings Pier back then in the 70’s…
We used to use the new pence pennies for this if memory serves, where you had to roll a penny and have it fall flat between the lines with 3 pennies payout of the big six one… The sensor was a bit off sometimes, and it was possible to start with about 10 pennies and build them up over an hour or more to a couple of quid of pennies rolling down the glass panel at top… - a fortune to a kid in the 70’s!

My brother should have looked after his “soft toy” - I would imagine that they are collector’s pieces now…

Golliwog for Christmas.jpg

along with my wee noddy dog stuck in the window then i always have a gollywog hanging from a hangmans noose cord in whatever campervan im using myself.
you can still buy them on ebay so they cant be politically correct though you have to use just the golly part to search for as gollywog wont show any results.(sad or what).
the normal way for the penny slots for us was to just lift the corner and smash if off the floor with the resulting payout…

Is this the same Trump who joined the EU and others in sending ‘rescue’ flights into Wuhan to bring as many people as possible out to the west to ‘safety’.

YES i am concerned, i am elderly, i have heart problems, and at times breathing problems, so i will be prioritised for treatment/isolation should the worst occur. Its worrying when i hear on the news of countries taking huge steps: Italy having closed all shops except Chemist and supermarkets. Ireland closing schools and colleges, America closing its borders to eu citizens except the uk. the F.A. banning many football matches from attendees, but holding matches behind closed doors. Many other organisations cancelling outdoor events…and many more others acting for the good of their citizens. here in the uk, i wouldnt be surprised if schools and colleges are forced to close, my wife is at risk as she is a school teacher, and could possibly affect me…of course i am worried, but have some consolation when i hear that china has fewer cases being reported, but most people dying have underlying issues and are elderly, no matter where they died. I can foresee this country taking stronger action, and i fear its going to get worse, and with more restrictions.

You won’t hear it in the MSM but Russia which is run by a patriot with a brain closed its borders to infected countries almost immediately, hence literally a handful of cases only.

Truckboy, in Italy with its thousands of cases the health service has been overrun and it appears older people are being put to the back of the treatment queue, if and when Britain gets overhwhelmed with cases then i expect similar prioritising, sadly, so take extra care out there matey, i read at least one British school has closed already due to infection.

On the brighter side it appears the previous figures of 3% fatal is wildly off the mark and more likely to be around the 1% ratio, which is scant comfort if you are one of the 1% of course.

well i went down the chinkys for a carryout as normal last night.
it was closed for 2 weeks so they could head back to china for their new year and came back last week.
were they cooking with masks?..nope as they are 3rd world people and that hygenic logic would be beyond them.
were the counter order tarts wearing masks??.nope
was anyone coming in or out including the delivery dudes wearing masks?? nope
was any of the customers including myself giving a toss other than discussing the facebook type retards panic buying bog rolls and similar??.nope.
if your in poor health, then obviously take care, but for anyone else, then ignore it and carry on regardless would be the norm apart from the knock on inconvenience from the faceache twittering mongs panic buying ect.

Breaking news…

Coventry quarantined.

Not because of Coronavirus but because it’s a [zb] hole

Too much fightin’ on de dance floor?

Very much a SPECIAL case, plus too many GANGSTERS turning it into a GHOST TOWN.

Just seen the BBC news special with the PM and the top two experts

If I heard it right the greater population will get the virus to some degree and the death rate is about 1%

1% of the UK population is ABOUT two thirds of a million people

Most of those deaths will be the elderly

Did I hear and assimilate that live broadcast correctly

ADD - IF and I say IF … my calculations are about right then for 2020 it looks like the UK could be roughly doubling the death rate normally seen in a calendar year

dieseldog999:

So just carry on spreading the virus then :exclamation:

I wonder if you’ll feel the same way if/when you’re at your elderly relatives funerals because someone else thought “I’m OK Jack, so I’ll just carry on spreading the virus around”.

i dont go to hatches matches or dispatches, ive no elderly relatives, and apart from normal healthy practices then its life as normal for normal people.
i will be travelling across the uk and ireland with my business options as usual as i dont expect to want to do a few truckie trips due to my other hobbys for at least another couple of months.
i will be eating out,and getting curried up from the indians and the chinkys as usual with no doubt a kebab now and again.
i will be going on holiday as usual unless there are reasons outwith my control to stop me,so no point evading the inevitable if were all going to die anyway.
i suppose im going to have to panic buy to a certain degree as the lemming mongloid snowflakes are clearing everything off the shelf anyway, but apart from that, its crack on as usual.
