It’s become even more obvious the world is plagued by stupid people. We have the panic merchants emptying the supermarket shelves at one end and at the the other we have Mr & Mrs Complacency who reckon it won’t affect them.
This virus is spreading like wild fire and has caused many deaths already. What will make it a lot worse is stupid people who cannot follow simple rules. Selfish morons galore.
…If “Vietnam” was the Democrat’s attempt to cull the Flower Power generation…
Then is This Coronavirus thing - an attempt to cull those who will not support them, and the Green New Deal now?
…It might backfire badly though:
As I’ve indicated earlier, the most vulnerable group of people - are the hypochondriacs who’ve got the time to sit around on medical facilities, when there’s nothing really wrong with them.
there they will find what they thought they were running away from…
Meanwhile, people with a solid work ethic - who are they going to catch anything from?
Why would a benefits claimant be more vulnerable?
Because for them all medical treatment is utterly free, and for them they’ve got all day to hang about medical facilities and for them they might actually be required on a regular basis to “report to said medical facility” to keep on getting their “disability” benefits…
It ain’t “Patient Zero” - the so-called “Supercarrier” - we should worry about.
It is those who went out of their way to shake hands with patient zero!!!
Thus, you don’t get to avoid patient zero and patient 1 - by “not knowing who’s infected already” because our government thinks that “privacy” should be protected at a time when “quarantine” is pulling the other way, as it tars everyone with the same brush because we didn’t know whom to avoid!
We get told EVERYONE is “Patient One” then: “Less divisions in society” that way huh? “Not discriminatory” that way huh? “Can’t have ill people being treated as pariahs” then huh?
We’re all in it together. Mass Hysteria actually willfully inflicted upon society by government.
If your income is solid - you can get to stay at home, even if there’s nothing wrong with you.
If your income is the opposite - you can’t get to stay at home, even if you’re already terminal!
Thus, don’t avoid those who look like they are ill, because appearances can be deceptive.
DO avoid those - who are pretending to be poor though - because they are required to “keep up appearances”, which includes mingling with others on a regular basis to get their hand-outs…
Those who are genuinely poor? - Well, they’re not the ones spending more on toilet rolls than food right now - are they?

Yeah maybe the NHS wouldn’t be under such stress had it not been for 10+ years on governmental budget cuts.Mind you they should be getting £350m a week extra now shouldn’t they? The bus said so…
…so are the government lying when they talk of 20billion extra then?
Or did Labour not actually pump much extra in above inflation, because they clearly didn’t raise taxes enough to achieve that?
If you increase NHS spending by 100%, maybe 20-30% of it gets through… THAT much gets absorbed by the increase in demand over the same period.
A triple approach is needed:
Medical Doctors need to be brought under the NHS everywhere, so you cannot be a practicing doctor - if you do NOT work for the NHS.
At present, we’ve got OHS type doctors, Golf Course doctors, Nursing Officers (administrators) and other people with the qualification, that have however not actually practiced medicine for years.
Young newly qualified doctors - seem to be having difficulty finding work… How come?
Setting yourself up as a GP - has never been more expensive, so Self-Employment - isn’t an option to many a newly qualified doctor, especially those who no property holdings.
How can “Generation Rent” - cope with THAT imbalance?
New Hospitals being built - end up being staffed by at least some immigrants who have questionable qualifications and experience, and we only have their command of the English Language to judge them on - should we have any prima facia doubts of them.
Shouldn’t more doctors be recruited straight from University - rather than leaving those ones “on the shelf” to become TV personalities?
“Cuts” are not the cause of the NHS’s problems, so therefore “throwing ever more money” at the NHS - cannot possibly be the simple solution neither.
We’ve yet to hear some solid ideas for REFORM - rather than just “This party will cut funding, our party will net increase funding” power plays of the main political parties?
Perhaps the time has come to “Employment-Cull” the NHS itself then?
Get rid of the deadwood.
Sack those Doctors who cancel appointments and operations with them, because they are busy doing some locum job, working for a private hospital somewhere, or simply on the golf course too many hours per week.
Get rid of those nurses who seem to be spending more time off sick than the people in hospital beds on their wards!!
Get rid of “Orderlies” who don’t have any medical training, and pass the task of “Hospital Cleanliness” back to Matron, who’ll have the juniors and students scrubbing the floors so clean you can eat your dinner off them once again, rather than all too many hospitals where a no speke english orderly gets seen wiping down ward bed tables - with the same cloth they’ve just used to clean the sluice with!
And we wonder why there’s MRSA and other nasty bugs about in hospital wards that were simply not around, seen or talked of - since the rough-and-ready field hospital environment of long-past wars…
Carryfast:
In terms of intensive care provision the NHS was already a basket case anyway.Don’t see how hospitals could do much anyway regarding what is a type of super flu. While I’m open minded regarding the question of bio weapon v naturally occurring.
That’s the thing most people seem to not realize…right now the infection rate is rather low so the number of people admitted to hospitals is still manageable, hence the low mortality rate. If it starts spreading fast and lots of people get it, then most of them won’t be able to get the intensive care they NEED to pull through it so the death rate will skyrocket. Also let’s not forget medical personnel are not immune to it, some will get infected and unknowingly pass it onto patients/colleagues, or will develop symptoms and need quarantine/treatment themselves etc. A person can be a carrier but show no symptoms for a long time if ever - you can’t test the entire population. Then the fact that people who’ve ‘been through it’ catch it again (meaning the body may not be able to deal with this virus so once you get it you’re f*cked for life + a spreader).
A vaccine is not in sight either. From what I gather the Chinese were working on a vaccine for it in that lab but instead ended up letting the virus free and now of course, being China won’t own up to it. nature.com/articles/nature12711 - The article is from 2013 where they (Chinese Drs) describe their research on a bat Sars type coronavirus so they were definitely messing with it
Since when have Hospitals been able to cure colds and flu anyways?
anyone dying from corona ( the flu) will be a coffin cheater who is about to die from the next similar thing they catch so its not corona thats killing them, its the fact theyre past the time to have shaken off their mortal coils anyway and either have resparitory problems,or a weakened immune system letting something like the flue turn into something critical.
as usual, its the media hype scaremongering and causing the lemmings to flap, but it makes it easy for sky news to fill hour after hour of repetitive mince and obviously sells papers to the gormless.

They don’t ‘cure’ it but when you’re unable to breathe because your lungs fail due to the infection, it helps to have the specialized equipment to support you until (hopefully) your body’s immune system defeats the virus. Now in Italy they have to do a triage - put those patients in intensive care whose chances of survival are the highest, which is why you see so many elderly people die. They’re admitting people in their 20s too btw.
I had such a bad cold at Christmas I coughed out a groin hernia .
I’am making money from the Coronavirus at the min due to people panicking.
My daughter has chronic asthma she’s at uni I hope she doesn’t get it .
Let’s be clear about one thing. Corona virus is not the flu and acts in many different ways. Also it is not just the elderly that are at risk as has been mentioned. It can also attack anyone at any age severely as some of us may have seen. The only humans that seem to be completely safe are children under 10 years. Watch the figures rise dramatically over the next two weeks and then the real panic and realisation of the situation will become much more apparent.
I think as humans, we deserve it…I really do mean that, we have become to complacent and take everything for granted, perhaps entitled even.
We need to realise that we are not King of the heap and this is a welcome reminder as far as I am concerned.

Well its not like the current government have form for lying or anything… its just that once upon a time if caught it was a big no no and ended careers, nowadays it’s fine because they all do it, right?
As for the rest of your post I’ve deleted it, its waffle, I just want the NHS to get their extra £350m a week as quoted on the side of the bus…

This government have a record of lying.
I am guessing when at the end of the year we are still in the EU the penny will drop for all the Boris Johnson fanboys on here.
Didn’t the £350 million a week on the side of the bus, that they days after said was a lie, set any alarm bells ringing?
Bloody Nora change the record man, they all lie.
The tanned multi millionaire lied about WMD which has led to one of the worlds worse humanitarian movements which has and will change all of our lives for the worse.
Politicians lie, every time they open their mouths they tell you what you want to hear, its been like this since some bod in a loin cloth clubbed some female on the head and dragged her into his cave, then managed to become a tribal leader by making the right grunting sounds.
And it will be like this until nature claims the planet back and shows humanity just how insignificant it is.
No one with an ounce of sense believes a single word a politician says.
Best practice is to brick the telly, remove any link to the BBC (state broadcaster) from your radio or internet, and make sure never to listen to or read any news or documentary item from any mainstream media source, removing fake news and state and/or big business backed propaganda from your life is a truly enlightening experience, try it sometime, just as when battery hens are liberated it takes a while to become chickens again, it takes a while to revert to thinking clearly for oneself, but once you do…

Couldn’t agree more, but it doesn’t hurt to point the lies out to the more tiresome posters especially Winseer as he will spend three hours typing a reply proving me wrong that no one will read

unless your a pedantic nitpicking panic merchant fanny then corona and the flu are basically the same thing,
they spread the same way, they infect you the same way,and the symptoms are mostly the same with the proviso theres antidotes for some forms of flu (but not all) and no antidote as yet for corona.
the only way itl affect you other than having the flu is if your poorly anyway.

I don’t believe there has ever been a time in the history of the NHS when a Geriatric ward has had the same number of beds as an ICU.
If we’re to blame this government or that for “lack of NHS spending” then - perhaps it would have been a good idea some time ago to speak of “building more geriatric wards” specifically perhaps?
Alas, the “Geriatric” are all-too-often seen as “Tory voters”, “Brexiteers”, and “pension liabilities” whom the Left would dearly like to brainwash the public into thinking that they are the “scroungers” living off the teet of the taxpayer… We need to split the “Good” geriatrics from the bad’uns I would argue. Same as we need to seperate out the “Good” migrants from the “Illegal” immigrants…
“Good” = Paid in for their state pensions with 40+ years of National Insurance Contributions. “Bad” = paid less than 10 years of NICs, and yet get the white carpet rolled out by that old “means test” question “Are you claiming any benefits?” upon entering a hospital - in which case you go to the front of the queue for that gastric band operation, pushing back someone the same age who needs a heart-bypass done, on the NHS, but cannot afford to “go private” and thus jump the queue… Patient Two - might well die before reaching the top of the waiting list, of course… Even if that list is only weeks long rather than months and years by this point.
“Good” migrants, here to work, pay taxes and NICs, “Bad” - Here without a job, say they are women and kids when clearly 100% male or at least with 0% eligable women of child-bearing age with them. “Eligable” in that they would be able or want to date a white British guy… Yeh, not many of those migrants around huh? That these “Bad” illegal immigrants - don’t even come from EU states, and got waved straight through ALL such EU member states - pales into insignifcance compared to the utter tolerance shown towards Erdogan’s Turkey NOW when he’s already had 10 figures off the EU to “Keep the so-called Refugees in Turkey” - only to gangster-threaten the EU into giving him ever more cash, so he can pursue his ongoing purges in peace… Oh, and he expects to end up with the Northern Iraq and Syria resources as well. The Kurds? - Up for extermination, whilst even the caring Left West worries more about “getting rid of a resurgant Right now in government about the free world…”
On this note - All parties are “Centerists” and you cannot get a ■■■ paper in between them.
Boris has united the Right vote - and now promptly becomes a Liberal…
Labour - are likely to make a Liberal their new leader…
Didn’t we tell the Liberals where to get off in 2015? (57 to 9 seats) 2017 (9-12 seats -not even a dead-cat-bounce) and 2019 12 to 11 seats, leader gone among them…
Surely we’re DONE with “Liberalism”. You cannot please everyone. Let’s just concentrate on pleasing the majority then, even if it is only a small 52%…
John Major - can take a running jump!
the only way itl affect you other than having the flu is if your poorly anyway.
Rubbish, you need to listen harder to the news.
