Cheeky git, she’s not old
flat to the mat:
Smirk all you like NMM,who instigated the post post doctoring phenomenon? Yes it was you, because you’re very clever and I admire that, in fact most mornings I wake up and I wish I was you, top bloke that you areLuke, not taking the ■■■■ at all,cos the way the winter is going over here, very mild and lots of black ice, wouldn’t be surprised if I followed suit in the near future.
Back on topic briefly, older is definitely better but that’s another story !!
That’s better
The black ice is a bit naughty, we’ve lost two to it in recent weeks, one minute they’re driving along nice and steady, the next a gust of wind and they’re jacknifing into the ditch, both had light loads which doesn’t help either
Muckaway:
Switchlogic said in the “Lost Tradition” thread to the effect that I don’t like vehicles under 5 years old…He has a point in that. It’s not I prefer old vehicles, I prefer vehicles that are fit for purpose and that new does not mean improved. But do we all have Luddite tendencies in that anything new (not just vehicles) is viewed with scepticism and suspiscion, eg Digicards V Analogue charts, sat nav V OS maps etc?
Yes,New means keeping Share Holders of Truck Manufacturer making Profit.
But the old Lorries, not talking about un-economical Engine, were running smoothly, and defect could be fixed with little Effort.just a bit technical understanding,a driver needs anywhy to call him Professional, and a Hammer.
Just thinking on Eaton which never broke,■■■■■■■ which run forever,…
