Are voltage droppers still needed on modern trucks?

Am thinking of getting a SatNav, more to find drops at town/street level rather than route planning. Never having plugged anything into the cigar lighter socket of a modern truck, can anyone advise if these are still 24v or have they evolved into 12v supplies now?

Cheapest voltage droppers I’ve seen on Fleabay so far are around the £14 mark delivered, are there cheaper ones out there, or is that price about right?

Thanks

Shouldn’t matter, every Satnav I’ve ever seen will run on 12v or 24v, check the label on the power lead.

most sat navs and phone chargers will take 12 or 24 volt, so, it would not be needed

Check the charger, most of my chargers have-
input 12v-24v DC written on them, & hav’nt had any problems (yet, lol) when plugged into 24v.
Most modern wagons have both 24v & at least one 12v socket.
I’ve got 1x 24v standard socket & 1x24v + 1x12v Euro Plugs (silly little ones) in my TGX, I had to buy an adaptor for them-Euro plug adaptor (adapt-it 5) | Cigar Plugs and Sockets and Adaptors | Leisureshopdirect
Get them from truck stops, around a fiver.

Thanks guys…
