Are the ferrys busy?

Just wondering how they are coping on the boats ?. Is no flying making much difference ?. Are they giving cars priority ?.

I came back through Dunkirk yesterday, no busier than normal.

I sent out 4 trucks yesterday and 8 trucks today all Dover - Dunkerque, no delays at all

I caught the European Seaway P&O friday from dover as its a freight boat they were also carrying foot passengers but the nice lady on the till told the foot passengers they had to wait for the drivers to be served first but other than that no different

I went to Frankfurt Monday morning, in a people carrier to pick up friends.

Left on the 0010 SeaFrance service and apart from alot of other drivers doing the same as me there was lots of space and the odd wagon.

Coming back on the 1440 service it was packed. I have travelled in the height of summer but never seen it that full.

Wouldnt say that one group of vehicles is getting priority over another but would think an overnight/early morning ferry may be better if you want it a bit quieter.

Looking at the mess on the news I reckon it will be another week before “normality” returns.

On Sunday night, on the P&O Hull - Europoort, the boat was full.
Every driver was doubled up, two drivers in a two berth cabin.
That’s very unusual at this time of the year.
