The next thing will be a charge for parking whilst waiting to unload. Then another charge for the use of the equipment to unload, the list is endless, just like Ryanair.

Great idea. The carrier then puts 40 Euros extra on the rate and refuses to use the slower cheaper unloading service. :smiling_imp:

Lidl rulles good.Just long time check load.

If every…

Carrier elects to use the system and pay, then there’ll be queus for the ‘fast-track’ unload rendering it useless.

The few times I’ve had the displeasure of tipping there, I’ve been in and out in under 40 minutes anyway.

Next, they’ll make half the bays “fast-track”… You can see where this is going. What a scam.

yes so now they can charge 1quid for minute indeed

No longer than 90 mins i can do it quicker myself and normally the paper works ready in 5 mins.

It’s exactly the type of thing that the Co I work for will lap up! Some underemployed child with an “ology” will produce a feasibility study complete with bullet points and flow charts and will fabricate evidence of the obvious benefits of this additional expenditure. The rest of the middle managers who are afraid of being out of the loop will fully embrace it and draft lots of notices ending with the usual "“disciplinary action will be taken”.

Meanwhile nothing will actually change, the world will still turn and we will still waste hours of our life in these hell holes. Nett result being the German supermarket chain will smile smugly whilst trousering more wedge for no actual outlay. Win, win for them.

I don’t understand… the express way IS to self tip as it can be done in far less than 90 minutes.

Why bother? When I’ve been to Lidl unloaded it myself!

As for £95 for rescheduling a load pizz off! Can see efforts to find out who caused an accident so a claim can be put in if delayed by a consequential traffic hold up.

they will do what happens at the airports ad understaff the normal bays to suit the number of deliveries forcing the trucks onto the fast track bays as no matter when you travel, the caner booths close down a the passenger queue dwindle so that you always have to wait for a good while and entice you to pay for fast track.
as usual the companies fighting for scraps of work will just ■■■■ it up and play along with the larger ones being able to factor the charge into the rates.

All will be same like now.Just if Lidl do this that nobody will be hate Lidl.Lidl will talk if you don t like self tipping that please company pay extra charge and we will do this job.

Aren’t Lidl already getting a freebie off hauliers with drivers unloading all the trucks?

Honestly, if hauliers start paying this I despair :unamused:

They already do at Enfield. Well, if you don’t park in front of a bay anyway

i seldom do rdc work and its only if theres a disaster being averted that i would do so,as for years the easy way out is just to get barred or choose a job where you dont need to demean yourself.
im conveniently barred from lidls in ireland hence theres not a chance il ever see the inside of them again which suits me fine.

And no doubt the big hauliers and drivers will just roll over and accept all these charges,
A Lidl manager tried to get my mate to take away the shrink wrap he had cut off the pallets the other day :open_mouth: when will it stop,be wheeling it in to the bloody stores next :imp:

Ha, not without a waste licence you cant, even if your firm has one you need a copy in the truck and who is going to admit to being in the possession of one to cart away their rubbish
