Ha Ha Ha been hearing this 25+ years ago , drivers are there own worst enemy.
Company tried to up the average MPH per run to save on O/T etc so we all agreed to run @ 40mph it lasted 1- 2 days !!
Same company, there was the same argument still going on about utilising drivers hours when they got back & had hours left but no run, they wanted drivers to go in warehouse. This time the warehousemen & Drivers worked to rule. The general manager of the depot in Thatcham said & I quote" I look at all the new motors in the car park & all the applications I receive to verify earnings, work records for people to get mortgageās. If there is any more of this I will stop all O/time & then they cannot pay the mortgage" this was back in 1989 when Maggie ruled with iron glove & the management loved it!
