Are DCPC Companies doing well? Seems not

tachograph:

ROG:
With site admin approval I would be willing to do a thread on cheap dcpc courses if agreed that it does not matter where the info is obtained

If I did it then then it would be made clear that the thread is simply for cheap courses which are all likely to be classroom based

I could use the template for the counties that the recommended lgv training school uses

Would links to the companies that supplied the courses be allowed or would just the course and the price with a contact number be the remit?

I don’t think links to the company would be necessary ROG, just company name and address/location, price per course and preferably any other information available, such as whether the price includes VAT/upload fee.

The idea isn’t to provide free advertising for training companies, just to let drivers know where they can save some money if they wish to.

So are you going to do it or just turn this into a 40 page about the rights and wrongs? Sort it out man! :unamused:

Driver CPC in Sheffield can be done at Driver Hire.

My colleague did it there last week. He is Self Employed / Freelance.

He was charged £65 in total, in the Driver Hire Classroom.

That included VAT, upload, lunch & unlimited tea/coffee.

His 7 hour module was split in two:
1…Road Traffic Law.
2…Introduction to Health & Safety.

1… was “VERY informative.”
2… “bore the pants off me.”
…“but I will finish off my 35 hours with them and get it done with.”

That’s the 2nd time you’ve spammed driverhire in this thread. Clearly you work for them. Tempted to flag your posts for deletion. And £65 isn’t even cheap. :unamused:

That price looks like a reasonable commercial rate for the job.We dont want the E.Es. coming in and cutting up the rates now do we.?

In some ways yes, in some ways no.

A class of 12 to 20 would make a tidy packet on the day.

I’ve not used DriverHire myself, so far I’ve had mine paid for In House,
but the word on the grapevine is that they are worth a mention as
there is a shortage of DECENT providers in the area.

No we don’t, by gum, I can’t speak Polish anyway.

Driver Hire Sheffield are charging £65 + £8.75 upload fee, so it’s nearly £74 total.

There are cheaper.

£8.75 with quality M&S sarnies for lunch…

Tax ON DRIVERS…end of.

No, that charge is false information.

I’ve double checked with two mates who were both on the Sheffield Driver Hire
course last week. The £65 included upload, VAT and lunch. They also have the
info already uploaded to that Government website, which is pretty ■■■■ quick.

There may be cheaper - I have no interest in that - I’m stating what is
available in South Yorkshire for the benefit of TruckNet Members and those
lucky enough to be insured by One Insurance in the local area.

Other Providers, apart from Driver Hire, are available too.

You can check with as many mates as you like, I phoned Driver Hire Sheffield themselves this morning, and was quoted what I posted, £65 + upload fee.

Sorry but I’m a bit confused by that, what have One Insurance got to do with it
