Are Bosnian people stinks or what?

If I would be VOSA or Police I would stop other vehicle, like some old Leyland, what I seen today - rusty scrap with two fat, dirty guys inside, snakeing from left lane to right and without back lights working (but they pulled caravan, so it wasn’t unsafe as caravan’s lights were OK). Is that racism?

Orys, its sounds like you stumbled upon some members of a secretive and insular tribe of people that exist in most area of the British Isles. They are named “■■■■■■” or “Didds” and can be found usually in rural areas on the outskirts of villages and small towns.

Their favoured mode of transport is the Ford Transit (in various configurations) with, as you have already seen, a caravan towed behind.

To describe them as, dirty, lieing, thieving, scumbags would probably get me banned from the forum and invite a visit from the PC police so therefore I wont describe them as such

As you may have seen here on occasional, previous postings, there are other users of this forum who have had contact with members of this elusive tribe and may well give you their own forthright opinions of these people!!

, when in Rome do as the Romans do, that’s how you’ll fit in :roll
spot on

Do you know what Orys - it’s great that you take part on this forum and make a real effort to write readable english whilst doing so. All credit to you for doing that.

But I’m finding the majority of your many posts really tiresome now! Just about everything you write about now, involves supposed anti-eastern european racism. Of course there’s racism in Britain, but this ridiculous post of yours is not an example of it!

Your posts are also becoming more and more patronising and condescending…

I wonder if that becouse english (british) drivers are affraid of speaking in other languages, or that was just simply racism? In both cases shame of these drivers - imagine you stacked in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Bulgaria when you can’t speak any local language or russian and when no-one want to help you.

My advice - drop the race card nonsense, stop trying to be such a smart-■■■, and get on with the business of doing your job and fitting into our society!
If you keep up this defensive stance that you potray on here, people will not only start thinking that you’re the racist, they will just completely shut off their ears to your moaning and whinging anyway - cause’ that’s what you’re doing.

If this is what you’re like here, god know’s what you’re like to work with!

I’m sure Bosnian people don’t stink - but “Bird in the window, help, call Police!”…I definitely smell a fish!!

So, how do people from Poland, Slovakia etc view Gypsies?
Are they as distrusted there as much as here?

I honestly have no intention of offending anyone here, just a genuine question, so please no offensive comments.

No, it means all their fuses are ok. But your previous points about the windscreen? I’ve heard guys around Doncaster way are training pigeons to fly into foreign lorry windscreens and thereby debilitating them. They start them off with sweetcorn resting on the wiper blades and bring them on like that. Round where i live they are training staffordshire bull terriers to attack anyone who pulls a deck chair out from the side of a trailer. I dread to think where its all leading us.

I think the bottom line to all this is that the government has caused the bad feeling and resentment towards foreigners in the UK. An ‘open door’ immigration policy was always guaranteed to cause bother, as was the fact that policy would drive down wages and worsen employment conditions.

Just wait until all the Romanians and Bulgarians begin pouring in next year, especially now, when the economy has run into the buffers and work is getting harder to find.

New Labour are always keen to do what their pals in the City and CBI tell them to do, and those people have an insatiable appetite for cheap labour and keeping the working man under the thumb.

People in this country are feeling disenfranchised and the only way they can display their annoyance is directly to the outsiders who are flooding in. This is unfortunate as these people are only taking advantage of British Government policy.

I wonder how many drivers pulled on the hard shoulder to help out these stranded foriegners ?

Roma group leaves for Romania
A group of Roma people who had been living on a roundabout near Dublin airport have been flown back to Romania.
The group, who had been living on the M50 near Ballymun, had wanted the Irish government to grant them housing and allow them to stay in the country.

However, they departed Dublin Airport just after 1800 BST on Wednesday.

They will be taken to their respective villages in the western part of the country by bus once they arrive.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that the Roma’s decision had followed dialogue with gardai in recent days, and Wednesday’s operation had been conducted by officers from Santry and the Garda National Immigration Bureau.

Under Irish law, they were not entitled to work or stay in the country more than three months, but said conditions there were better than at home.

This claim was contested by the Romanian Embassy in Dublin.

Of course things could get worse . They all left in the end & the camp was razed to the ground.

Italy police to protect Gypsies

By Christian Fraser
BBC News, Rome

Italian police are being forced to protect Roma Gypsies who have come under attack from local residents in Naples two nights running.

Makeshift homes were set alight as demonstrators attacked two camps. The disturbance was sparked by an alleged kidnap attempt by a Roma teenager.

There is deep suspicion throughout the country of the Roma community.

The government is preparing controversial anti-immigration measures targeting Romanians in particular.

The incidents in Naples began when a 16-year-old Roma girl was caught inside an apartment last weekend, allegedly trying to steal a six-month-old baby girl.

Her arrest has sparked two days of bitter protests.

On Wednesday night, vigilante groups in the suburb of Ponticelli took to the streets chasing the Roma out of two squatter camps.

Molotov cocktails were thrown into makeshift huts as the Roma fled for the local police station. When they had gone, the two camps were torched.

Bad image

The Roma community is perceived they are responsible for a disproportionate level of crime.

In national elections last month, the centre-right coalition led by Silvio Berlusconi, which included the anti-immigration Northern League and the post-Fascist Alleanza Nazionale, swept to victory largely on its pledge to tackle illegal immigration.

In Rome, Gianni Alemanno, also of the Alleanza Nazionale, was elected mayor on a pledge to expel 20,000 people.

Silvio Berlusconi has described the Roma and those committing the crime as “an army of evil”.

But critics say the government is stoking the suspicion and the reprisals, and last night the Vatican weighed in to appeal for calm.

Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, the head of the Italian bishops’ conference, said fear was understandable, but it could never be right for people to take the law into their own hands.

Romanian Interior Minister Cristian David is due to arrive in Rome on Thursday to try and defuse the growing tension.

He has proposed sending Romanian policemen and prosecutors to help the Italians combat crime.

So far in these attacks, there have been no reports of any deaths or injuries. But the people in the suburb of Ponticelli are demanding the Roma leave for good.

The 16-year-old girl is now on remand on suspicion of kidnap.

Anyway, with regard to the roma/gypsy problem…we all know that they do not play a part in our society. They seem to know all the rules and regulations with regard to parking anywhere there is a piece of grass.
They have no regards as to what state they leave the site as and when they leave. They have no regard to who pays to clean up after them, and lets face it the great british public, adds to this menace, by paying them whenever they knock, to clear away any garden rubbish they may want removed, and not caring where it ends up.
They have no regard for, for the law, for in most cases being of no fixed abode, they cannot receive a notice of intended prosecution.
They often drive unlicenced/insured vehicles, and seeing as these vehicles are often found on private property, cannot be removed.
They often commit crimes in around wherever they park, and seem to terrorise the local population.
I would like to know, why it takes so long to obtain a court order, to remove these scum, and claim back the land.
I want to know why this government, is allowing these scum/low lifes to ruin our countryside, and now are able to give them more powers than they previously had.
I am glad that a member of parliament has them on her doorstep, and maybe it will let her know, what it feels like to9 be hounded by the dregs of society.

European Scumbags/Gypsies
It was a well known fact that when Czechoslovakia wanted to join the Union, they were told, Sorry, not with all those Gypsies in the north.
So the country was ethnic cleansed (good word that ) all the gippos were moved to the north, then the country split, so Czech became part of the EU, and Slovakia (full of gippos) wasnt…until new rules were put in place as to restrict them from moving/working in the union.
So slap bang in the middle of the country, on a motorway, was placed a barrier, customs area, the queues were horrendous, with approx 5 miles of queues every day, which obviously took hours to clear.

In Eastern europe the problem is still as bad, i can however comment on the gypsies in Bulgaria.
Yes theyre a nuisance there too, but they are hard working, if and when they get work. They are often victimised, and treated as outcasts, and always being last on the list for work or benefits. A new law has recently been passed, that will prohibit gipsys from claiming benefits (GB take note) no human right laws there then. They have also been told that they cannot live on land that isnt theirs, so they are being forced to move on, where this will end up i dont know.
They are refused entry to most places, especially the seaside resorts, and of course are easy to spot because of the way they dress, and their often very dark skin, (unlike the normal bulgarians pale skin) and this is because of often spending very long hours in the fields (similar to the poles over here)
In the villages up until recently there was little crime, now the foreigners have moved in, there can be som lucrative pickings. The british contingency add to this, by purchasing a property very cheap ( a 3 bed house can cost as little as £5000, before modernisation. then it begins to stand out, new white plaster/paintwork…swimming pool…etc…etc…and then furnish it and go back to england. there have been a spate of robberies in BG, and though these ex pats have become friendly with the villagers, they havnt got eyes in the back of their heads, they do however offer their home grown vegetables, and home brewed Rakia (fire water). The local mayor/policeman often finds/knows who is behind these robberies, even if its someone from the next village.
A lady recently bought a property, organised the builders to fit new windows, build an extension, plaster, paint, new roof etc, and purchased new furniture, and returned to the uk, the builder informed her someone had broken in overnight, he did a lot to help her out, even installing a local man as a guard, her windows/furniture was all stolen along with the new boiler, etc…she was heartbroken as you can imagine, i read about this story on MyBulgaria.com, a site for Brits who own property, who want to own property, who live or work in BG, anything you want to kinow about BG.

I was surprised to read that the local police had found the furniture, and knew where the windows were, they were waiting for the thieves to make their move, and would pounce.
so the Gypsies are a nuisance wherever they go…weve seen them in the uk at traffic lights (window cleaners)
Weve seen them on the streets begging, often with young babies, and we know that they continue with their thieving ways, home or abroad, for they are shunned and have no other way of surviving, and as is often normal within their own kind, are often taught from an early age, how to steal/pick pockets/survive, and that will continue for a long tome to come, i always said that hitler turned on the wrong people, for the jews are not much different to the jocks, theyre tight as well, only difference is the jocks skin is a bit thicker…ha ha ha, but we could have eradicated the gypsy problem…

Sorry man, I stopped reading your post after this section …

First of all, Slovakia was eastern part of Czechoslovakia and still is to the east of Czech rep. I really don’t know how you could survive so many years in trucking without knowing where the north and the east is!
Czechoslovakia was split in 1993 and it had absolutely nothing to do with EU ascension. I do not know precisely when the talks with EU began but seems to me than in 1994 or 95. Each country talked to EU separately then, and both Czech rep and Slovakia joined the EU together in may 2004.
So please, stop talking the crap…

 Are you sure you want to know this?

First a joke:
Police asks: “where were you yesterday?” Gipsy replies: “I did not kill him”
Not laughing? Nor am I. 40% of prisoners in slovak prisons are gipsies. Yet, they account for only about 2% of Slovakia’s inhabitants.

Another one: Best machine for earthworks of any kind? SP2G. I.e. Spade, Pickaxe and 2 Gipsies.
It’s veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery rare to see Gipsies working, but when you do, it’s always SP2G. (Making children does not count as work).

When parents in Slovakia struggle to “keep their kids on lead” they use magic sentence “be nice or a gipsy will take you away in a big bag”.

In the east of Slovakia, people do not use word “klamat” (=to lie). Instead, they use word “ciganit” which literally means “to talk like gipsy”.

Slovak for Gipsy is “cigan”, coming from german “ziehgaun(-er)”, i.e. “ziehen gauner”, literally “pull (go away), thief!”
Because the term “cigan” was deemed derogatory, they now have to be referred to as “Romas, Roma people” in all official and public statements.
Also a special term had to be invented that would describe them accurately whilst being “politically correct”. And the term is: “socially unadaptable”.

British Gipsies look sort of …ehm… white-ish; european gipsies are dark, clearly indicating they came from India. While gipsies here live in caravans, in central and eastern Europe gipsies live like this:
http://vtipy.netroof.eu/data/images/romska-osada-a-akcia-na-satelit.jpg
No, it is not a shanty town at a Bombay suburb, it’s a gipsy settlement in Slovakia. I guess it must be this what spawned another parental comment, “you’d better tidy up your room, it looks like a gipsy hut”

From time to time, government or a local council goes on to provide some standard housing to these people, so builds up proper brand new village or some blocks of flat with all facilities. Gipsies are so happy and grateful then that they promptly turn the dwellings into…

This is Lunik IX ward in Kosice, eastern Slovakia.
You cann’t expect someone used to [zb] at his doorstep to use flushing toilet, can you?

Well, enough. This is supposed to be truck talks, not gipsy talks.

This thread contains some serious stuff …and having been in rural & suburban bits of the old Czechoslovakia loads of times & Prague twice circa 1992. I wrote to my MP re the scary stuff that, er, darked skinned people were, er, evidently up to.

That was the beginning of an experience that others here have soundly threaded along with. I anticipate tear-drops when our Brussels-sucking ‘leaders’ and other gullible but criminally passive fools catch-on to the pending reality of what will hit us - by which time it may be too late if it isn’t already. We’re still at the picnic stage is my guess…

Are we not throwing our national profit & transport industry into the EU culture vacuum (read: The EU-Revised British Cess-pit) fast enough already without inviting proven European trouble-castes into our neighbourhoods, hospitals, jobcentres, etc to leech us white too?

I purposely omit mentioning schools because as aluded earlier, the trouble-castes will self-perpetuate , thus negating any need or worth in our bothering to ‘educate’ them. The current £3m Government ‘knife’ policy and video campaign will bear testament to money wasted when these scoundrels arrive in larger numbers but we’ll surely not be nationally bothered until many metaphorical (?) throats are slit.

Orys …your opening gambit in this thread arguably illustrates how one person’s rosy viewpoint has just met a tangible reality. Looking the other way is regularly practised within a decent society now proving itself to be on the verge of being throttlled by a warm fug of disenfranchised delusion tenderly cocooned within a womb of soundly sealed numbness that this otherwise brilliant island represents - although it wasn’t presented to deliver this back in 1971. The symptoms are insideous and many do not understand what is happening whilst they justifably albeit unknowingly distrust much about them each day. Including ‘not seeing’ your hapless kinsmen.

Orys, Britons have been ‘told’ that ‘diversity is a good thing, etc’…but where do you see that evident in the Britain that is incidentally a European laughing stock? We just about cope …but why couldn’t one of those hapless brown-skinned chaps vote our song in the Song contest to be the best?

I was driving northbound on A1(M) today just after M62 (with slag heaps of coal on the right) when I spotted a lorry parked on the shoulder with hazards on and two guys in hi-vis jackets waving desperatly on me to stop. I stopped and it turned that there were Bosnian truckers in trouble - they had windscreen smashed by bird.

They weren’t speaking english, but they were able to tell me “Bird in the window, help, call police”. I wasn’t sure if police is the best place to call, but I don’t have any number to Highway Patrol or nothing, so I just called 112, explained situation to them, warned, that guys do not speak english and then drove away.

But before I left them, I had some wee conversation with them (they are slavic, as me, so we are able to communicate on some basic level). They told me, that they tried to stop some vehicle for over 20 minutes and no-one stopped. Some lorries even pulled on the hard shoulder and slowed down, but when they spotted BiH stickers, they were joining main carriageway again and accelerating - two of them even showed them middle finger.

I also asked, why they won’t keep driving, as I just seen some english lorry with broken windscreen couple of minutes ago, and they told me, that I can be sure, that first police patrol will stop them and they will have really deep problems. They told me that police like to pull them on side and searching for anything wrong with they vehicle and that it’s happening all the time when they are in UK. I cannot see nothing wrong with their lorry (It was about 3 yrs old MAN in very decent condition, nice and clean, they were wearing hi-vis and using triangle (how many of you carry triangle with you?) they do not stealing our (your :grimacing:) jobs, as they were emlployed by Bosnian employer and we know, that accident can happens to everyone. No, there is no ethnic connection between Irish travellers and Romanian travellers- they are disparate peoples who simply opt to live a similar lifestyle.

They have no more blood connection than Irish and Romanian football supporters, trainspotters or Kylie Minogue fans…

The word “■■■■■” originates from “turnpike”, meaning a toll road in the 17th and 18th centuries.

This claim was contested by the Romanian Embassy in Dublin.

thats the second time they were deported harry,as far as i know.they weresent back 2 years ago despite protests from the do gooder.
then they got back to ireland again.i dont know how or what circumstances.
i was by the red cow a few weeks ago and saw one of these romany begging.he came over to me and asked for i assume money.
i gave him a very unhospidible answer…
i think everyone else did as well.i saw no one giving him money.
they dont do too bad off the state benifits.

greg50 That report was a year old but might be the reason why truckers thought Orys buddies had set up home on the hard shoulder.
Most of my trucking life ■■■■■■ have been a pain .Zona Franca they were into murder when they broke into a cab. The Spanish built them a pueblo in Zona Franca ;the Gypsies took out the doors & windows & made bonfires in the street .It was a no-go area for cops. The gypsies were out of their heads on dope & would have raiding parties in broad daylight on the drivers in the compound while the ‘cops’ looked on. A driver on our outfit was attacked with knives & had his arm slashed whilst dropping a trailer at 1400hrs . It went unchecked for years. These scum were into murder in a big way. In Italy it was the same .The ■■■■■ would attack the driver but the mafia would target the load. Portugal was also wonderland for mugging drivers in their cabs while they slept.
I didn’t have much trouble in the Balkans with gypsies as the authorities seem to have control of what went on inside their respective borders.
The reason that ‘travellers’ are hated by me ,apart from the above is because in UK they are untouchables & make the rest of us look like second class citizens in our own country. Liberal do-gooders have a hell of a lot to answer for & are slowly waking up. Too late ,of course.
Strange place UK ; Minority rights are put way above the Majorities rights.
