Either you can keep trying or go to an agency and then speak to the people behind the desk when you get sent out on assignment.
I had a few ask me to cut the middle man out many years ago when I spent 2 years working agency. Wish I had gone ltd/self employed then, rather than working for cowboys the last 4 years.
Either way, good luck. The work is out there but like any business it will take some time.
Oh and if you havent looked into it, you can get a5 leaflets made up rather cheaply. 1000 for very cheap, although the ones I made up were £50 for 1000.
I went Ltd because some companies said they would deal with me then afterwards approached them again and they only deal with agency. Most of my work comes through agency still, down side is having to accept there rates either that or no work, keep on asking and hopefully they will see the light one day, I must admit I dont chase much because the agency is so short of drivers I keep taking the work however if i was approached I would move very quickly and take it direct (work that is). I must admit i earn more money doing it this way and at times can push the agency for a better rate particularly Sundays and bank holidays. I dont advertise I do have business cards that I pass around however be careful you dont take the agencies work or they might get funny about it (or keep it very quiet). It takes time but you will get there in the end.
Also just seeing your post again if you are Ltd you are not self employed you work as a employee for your own company, makes a difference.
