Hi,
Do we think that truck companies should offer an apprenticeship for young drivers to get involved in the transport industry? I think this would encourage younger people as they would not be restricted by the cost of obtaining a license.

some companies do already. i know the company im starting with are setting up there own driving school to make it easier to fill the demand.
Can any recommend any companies in the Central Scotland area to try?
Apprentiships are generally to learn a trade over a 2/3 year period,you can learn to drive a HGV in a week…whatcha gonna do for the other 150+weeks of the apprenticship?
