Apply for work in Walkers Warrington

Hi, Has everyone applied for a hgv driver job in Walkers  I`ve passed 1st stage and waiting for couple of interviews. What should I expect  :exclamation:

You’ll get a driving assessment by either sparky or mad phil, you’ll get stuck in a room with about 10 other people and have to do team building puzzles etc. They have someone in there seeing how well you perform usually management of some sort. You’ll then do 3 separate interviews back to back with 3 different people. You’ll get a cooked buffet or a meal ticket for the canteen so fill your boots

It has be a good few years since i done this but in general this is what they do. My tips would be in the team building exercise be nice and vocal but not over the top. Try and think of decent ideas to go about solving the puzzles but dont throw in ■■■■■■■■. In the interviews speak with truth and cander and this is gonna sound gay but be bubbly and open

are you on about walkers crisps?

As Merc 0447 says there will be a driving assessment followed by written tests and team building exercises (stuck in the desert with an assortment of items put them in order of importance ) if I remember rightly, and as is rightly pointed out you are watched. The written tests are timed as well, I think all the jobs on offer include week ends the money is exellent though good luck.

The assesments and team building excercises will stand you in good stead maybe for something else in life, as realistically all you do is trunk to either Peterlee, Coventry or Leicester !!! And hardly anyone talks to you let alone builds anything with you. Infact, at the drop of a hat you’ll be mentioned on the board as this weeks near miss !!  Thats if the tickover counters havn’t got you first
You can eat as many crisps in the canteen as you like, forget the staff shop you can buy the same branded Walkers crisps cheaper from Lidl or Netto. If your finish time is anywhere between 4.30 and 6.00 pm it great sitting in the queue for the motorway for half an hour, it gives you time to relax and unwind. I really miss working there.
