Possible ESL driver on A616 around 08:00am
@nottspolice: Woman dies in Ompton crash
hmm - " The driver of the lorry, which was travelling in the opposite direction, was not injured. No arrests have been made." Sort of negates the claims being made elsewhere on this board that the innocent truck driver is always arrested at the scene…
well no one’s said it yet… i’m not trying to bad mouth/ insult/ or anything else. but i think it’s quite clear what has happened.
one dead car driver, (rip to the sadly passed)
one truck driver who was involed in the collosion but not arrested…
and another truck driver who can’t be found…
had a look at the road and village where the collosion happened
the car in question tried to overtake the esl/missing lorry, and well didin’t make it.
Surely if Notts Police contacted Stobarts they would have the technology to be able to pinpoint which of their vehicles it was at that location at that time?!
If the police speak to ESL they might be able to track which driver it was by the Isotrak system - Stand to be corrected.
The firm i with have the same system and it monitors which route you had taken and at what time.
Edit: This was posted at the same time as the above post
Don’t stobarts use isotrak ? If the vehicle was behind the truck then why would he stop. Probably hasn’t seen a thing
ESL will know exactly who and where this wagon was at the time! If the driver saw anything he would have stopped!
As per the press release , the police clearly state that the the ESL driver was not involved . Why put this type of information in a press release when a simple phone call / request to the ESL head office could resolve the query ?( in any event there is no legal obligation to assist or help the police. ) Not very confidence inspiring .
remember its sunday , the workers will be working and the office staff only do mon to fri , they will find out who it is
At a guess it could well be a ESL Chilled wagon from Newark. I cant speak for Newark Depot but at ours the office was manned all weekend so they should be able to find out straight away I would have thought.
yes i know , i was working
