I’ve watched a few of this guys YT videos about the abysmal workmanship on some new house builds in this country & boy what an eye opener The price of new houses are sky high but I wouldn’t pay these cowboys in rusty nails for them.

Also bearing in mind anti car use design policies limiting off street parking.
No provision for gas supply from 2025.
Laughable density requirements.
I wouldn’t trade a decent older property with decent gardens front and rear and off-street parking for three cars and a garage and proper room sizes.
For a new rabbit hutch all to add to the developers’ profits.

That just about sums it up. And yet people buy this modern rubbish and actually live in those conditions… My house dates from…1513!

No Me neither, Our house was built just after the first world war & I wouldn’t trade it for one of these cardboard boxes for anything, This new house build in his video cost £450K youtube.com/watch?v=Uj0J2wHbXng
We’ve a older house ( 50,s ) & we’re always having to have work done to it , electrics / heating / kitchens/bathrooms etc etc
We’re now looking at a newer house as it’s far too big for me / mrs & it’s never felt cosy , we often visit my girl who has a new build & her house feels nice & cosy
My only issue is parking , few years we will only need 1 parking space , but for now we need 2 & that isn’t easy on a lot of modern estates
