The greatest jockey of all time retired today, I’m not dead into my racing but I’ve got into more since getting with the missus, I’m thankful to have seen him at Cheltenham twice (his last ever aswell) , I think the word legend gets used quite a lot nowadays but he truly is a living legend, probably the best ever sportsman in history 20 years at the top! Anyhow respect to AP and all the best for the future.
P.S Don’t forget to give him a knighthood your majesty
Absolutely, best sportsman of our lifetimes.
Totally Agree… just got back from Sandown meeting today… and really was great to be there and
see the respect paid to the man… A living legend and so humble.
Spent ages chatting to ordinary punters and signing autographs.
Sure fire bet for a Knighthood !!

Looked a brilliant atmosphere mate and the weather held out wich was good, brought a tear to the eye when he was interviewed in the parade ring after box office and he could barely say thank you trying to hold back the tears, I think a few sportsmen should look at him on how to be a role model
Superb jockey and a great sense of humour. He was discussing his winners and he thought his record wasn’t great if you considered the number of horses
ridden that didn’t win and his comment yesterday that horse racing was the only sport were a doctor and ambulance followed you round the track was
spot on. Seen him at Exeter many times, he was a pro and a knighthood…yes…if he would accept it.
I agree he has a good sense of humour , I’ve seen that out and about a few times looks spot on , I wouldn’t mind being the driver ha
Top proffesional in a sport where many jockeys have succumbed to temptation.
I’m a racing fan but not a huge one and seen him ride some fantastic races getting the best out of average horses.
Never seen the chris Waite motor I will have to look out for it.
