Anyone you won't buy from now?

Well with my job on 3663 you get to see loads of disgusting pub and restaurant kitchens, unreal some of them. And, alot of places which market themselves as “posh” and “good home cooked food” is actually just 3663 basic range frozen goods. Nothing wrong with our stuff i hasten to add mind! Even alot of small local tearooms claiming to sell freshly baked cakes are really just selling our premade and precut frozen desserts!

There is a LOT wrong with your food. I stopped frequenting Wetherspoon’s pubs when they changed to your lot from Brakes. The quality is worse than Tesco Value range.

msgyorkie:
Supermarket own brand baked beans. I once worked in a canning factory that made baked beans for the supermarkets and my workmate used to have great fun timing how long it took his grolly that he spat into the sauce vat to drain down the vortex.
Twas a daily occurence!

Same as above but it was own brand biscuits, also own brand cereal because when I loaded out of a factory in penkridge I was told they buy the oats or whatever it is they put in it on the last day it is allowed to be used for human consumption, any later and it’s used in pig feed

Thats all a matter of personal opinion of course, but im sure the vast increase in Wetherspoons turnover over the years suggests a different story! Mind you, i wouldnt know what food they have in there as we dont do it from our depot!

and seeing them pour rancid cream into a dish being prepared

They normally charge extra for that!!

Sausage rolls, meat pies etc. The meat is delivered in big 50 litre tubs and is in concentrated form.

Soft drinks in a pub from the dispenser gun, as they are delivered in concentrated syrup form and then watered down to virtually water. So I always buy soft drinks in a can.

I won’t buy anything from Curry’s/Dixon’s/PC World, as they are just a bunch of ■■■■■■■ anyway but they way they throw tellies, laptops around is criminal.

I would never buy anything from Tescos!!

Only because we can’t afford to…

Mind you, I always get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see stuff I might of carted on blue chep pallets in ALDI…

Most of your chain pubs dish out the same ■■■■ from pretty much the same menu, just worded differently.
I look down the menu’s and can see what was chilled and frozen, but cant argue at a mixed grill and a pint for £7, not worth switching my own microwave on for that.

Years ago I collected hams from a place in liverpool called whistlers farm, to take to the markets. On picking up the hams I saw millions of maggots crawling up the rubber door dividers. Eghghgh…wont buy meat from a market again

Moto, Roadchef, First, in fact any MSA. Theyre just a money making rip off with no regard for customer service.

Also strawberry jam…since loading unripe strawberrys from Poland . the red colour is just that colour, only unripe strawberries are used coz they are softer, but the smell from them is awful.

Not surprised if you do a mixed grill in a microwave! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Ham slices in vacum pack, ive seen what goes in that so called ham, if it says formed or shaped on the packet, its all the bits left over. Off the bone for me, not to keen on value pork pies aswell.

I think you misunderstood my post. I was saying I wasn’t surprised he preferred to pay for it at 'Spoons if he normally makes mixed grills in a microwave, ie. it will taste like [zb]. If you were meant to do them in microwaves they’d be called mixed microwaves, not mixed grills!

Of course, if he’s overnighting in the truck then he won’t have much choice in the matter, unless he’s like Chef Wiggy with a full BBQ set-up in his cab.

We deliver to 3663 depots and it is good quality stuff that we take in, I have no problems with eating it nor do the many customers 3663 have .

205:
Flights with British Airways
used them once from heathrow to los angeles and it was the worst flight i have ever been on, after takeoff they served the food and then it was lights out with only one snoty attendent on each isle to serve drinks until around 2 hours from la when the rest of the crew appeared to serve tea and biscuits.

 You didn’t expect to see a footbal game?

i never had a Problem. There is a Button overhead i press,someone will come,i order,and have it a minute later,by night.
By Day they are usually always around.
Then,i don’t fly LA or San Francisco. I fly Chicago, dallas Fort Worth,Phoenix or Denver and take Greyhound to LA,San francisco,to see somethings from the Road, having some Kind of Coffee at Truck Stops, and take Pics of US Trucks

Maggots are used in Hospitals,as they eat the Death Flesh and leave the good,so your Wound health much better :exclamation:

After delivering to the caged chicken farm and after I seen the conditions these animals live in, I am now buying free range eggs only.

Also on my agency days I have a “pleasure” to work for a company delivering to the Chinese take aways, and I have to say what I saw in the kitchen was a disaster (and I saw my share of the kitchens, as I used to deliver for other frozen food companies and laundry places before).

Well, actually this Chinese work could not be treated as a frozen food delivery, as the refrigerator wasn’t working and they did not cared about it. They said “at least it’s quiet”.

No problem with the Chinese - they were storing “frozen” chickens in places like garden shed, a space under the stairs, car boot etc.

I think there is a reason why Chinese take aways are the only ones where you can’t actually see your food being prepared - have you noticed that? There is only bar with lady and the phone and she brings it to you from the back…

Also: I would never send anything with Nightfreight after I’ve seen the way they load their trailers…

The one near to me is “open-plan” which is handy, but lets be honest if you’ve been to a chinese takeaway and enjoyed the food it, or have heard good reviews from friends etc the scene you describe i.e lack of seeing the kitchen area, is not going to put you off, also most Indian takeaway kitchens etc are not seen too. I’d imagine the regular visits from the H&S food inspectorate will keep them on their gaurd too.
