Anyone worked forThe Best Connection?

I’m registered with them in Newcastle. Not keen on the way they do business. Been told keep yourself free on such and such a day, that say comes … nothing! Once it was for a week. Pay is average for here, and they pay on time. Like someone else said depends on who is running the office.

Yes, I did some for them in the 90’s. They used to look after me well. But I guess things change.

I was with them for about a year. Then when I finished I requested my outstanding leave. 10 days worth. Bearing in mind my previous work was mostly £9 an hour for 12 hour days. Figuring I would get averages based on this.

No.

They looked at my overall wage over the year, so added up my gross wage, divided that by 365 to get my ‘holiday rate’ then times that by 10.

This includes the Jan-Apr where I was doing 1 day a week, mostly 7.5t and vans to make ends meet.

So for that 10 days of holiday I got £220 net. £280 gross.

Won’t go back to them, even if the reefers I’m now falls through. But whatever happens I would say go around the local companies, give your CV in and ask for work… This time if year they’re often desperate for staff right?

worked for them in Maidstone doing waiterose usual shifts that nobody else wanted ? was with them 3 months then told if I wanted to work at waiterose any longer I had to go on the umbrella scheme has waiterose would no longer employ agency staff that are not on the scheme ? I then asked another agency that was working in there if I could work for them on PAYE and they said no problem ? I didn’t go with the other agency and found full time work elsewhere but I keep getting calls two years after leaving asking if im available for work ?

when I was with them they kept me on emergency tax and after numerous request for them to sort it out I had to sort it myself by phoning the tax office which they seemed to take offence to ? me personally wouldn’t go back to them but that’s me , I found them to be very arrogant and patronising as If they felt that because you drive a truck you must have learning difficulties …good luck

I worked for them and had no problems with pay. The only reason i left was the fact that i need full time work. Thats the only down side, I just wasn’t getting enough work to pay the bills. Maybe things have picked up now.
