Anyone worked for Poundland Harlow (class 1)

Hi

Got an assessment lined up through an agency
(Saying is good pay and 11hrs a day etc, 1-2 drops etc)

But wondered if there’s any hidden downsides they are not telling me
As as much as I need to get on the class 1 ladder, I’m wary of leaving my class 2 permanent job

Many thanks

Then dont. Bide your time until something permanent crops up, which it will.

I agree, though the thing is the longer I don’t gain experience, the more chance I’m likely to fail an assessment for a permanent job should it arise

Cheers

When I was at poundland in bilston in may this year the Harlow drivers were on £10 p/h flat rate no overtime after 50 hours and if they had an infringement they got docked 50p per hour all week.
As for 1 or 2 drops a day don’t believe it used to send us out on a Saturday with 7 in a 45ft stacked to the roof handball 3 or 4 pallets wasn’t uncommon loo roll was favourite or if they were in a ■■■■■ mood pallet of pop was hand balled everywhere.
Pallets of pop sugar and compost were over a tonne and trying to shift it with a hand pallet truck ain’t funny.if you had a cages only delivery for a shop sugar went on a pallet and some shops used to try to get the driver to break it down and stack it in cages.

Jeff.

Its Poundland where the boss is a millionaire, every thing has to be cut to the bone to fund his lifestyle.I wouldn’t go near it unless I really had to.
