Terrible thing to do. I wonder if he did it to intentionally steak the money or wether he ended up spending it and couldn’t replace it?

Collecting cash money - is always going to be a temptation for the ones collecting.
Even among regular official charity collectors - one wonders just how much “disappears” before reaching the intended charity recipiant.
I reckon the entire economy of “Charity” needs to be brought into the 21st century. We use cash less and less - so why not have a charity giving system that is entirely above board, with paper trails for where that money then goes? If all our donations were made through bank account transfers rather than activists chugging cans - we might see a whole lot less of the collected funds go walkies.
