Hi all
new to this site just wondering if anyone can help?.
Been offered work by a company called Listers pulling flats out of purfleet.any body know them?if so what they like and do they pay on time.
I have heard some stuff about them, but none of it was more than people chatting, so therefore I’m not going to say what it was that was said.
If i’m not mistaken there’s some people from here who may be able to give you some accurate info… should be along soon.
The work can be hard & dirty when doing the sheets
You are on the go most of the time (but not beyond what is do-able)
It’s not unit friendly work - some of the places you have to get into are tight to say the least (as another member can testify )
The rates are pretty good - you get ppm out of the dock and job rates back
They are prompt payers
You work one month and get your money on the 28th of the following month
Virtually every unit (except one if I’m not mistaken, I may be corrected later) is driven by it’s owner ie there are no fleet motors.
It’s a good paying job but I think you will find it hard to get an employee to stick at it when there are easier jobs out there.
Also I think it would be tight to get a good return if an employee is on it as there is no minimum guarantee but as I dont employ any one and I know people that are employing drivers on jobs with lower rates I may be wrong
The earnings each week vary but if you want some averages then pm me and I will give you some.
You need a 44t unit to get regular work as 90% of their work is heavy
You will need a bricknet
you will need quite a few straps
Also a reel of rope if thats what you prefer
I have been with them over a year now and I can say I have never had a problem with payment or work. As NSH say’s it is hard work but if you put the effort in you get a good return.
Just stay clear of the Jonah
