Anyone know good route to Chinley via North Manchester?

Just wondering if theres a decent way there from Radcliffe,Manchester as I’ve not ventured over there for over a decade or so.I can see theres a good sprinkling of bridges arround Chinley,(I’m at 14,6) high cube and looking at the atlas the A6 through Hazel Grove seems viable, but any wiser counsels feedback would be greatly welcomed?..seem to remember dropping a major bowlock years ago round Chinley and a bridge.Didn’t prang it mind.

The only viable route at 14-6 is hazel grove , up the A6 to the second roundabout at Chapel , turn right , right again at the next roundabout and carry on to Chinley . If you are going to the plastics factory , go through Chinley to a narrow S bend , the lane down to the factory is signed on the left . Beware , it’s narrow and slippy down the lane . Dave

Can’t see how the new rd would benefit you coming from Radcliffe ,but it does save me 10 - 15 mins early doors to Lymm rather going over the cat

Which is that pilgrim??perverse sod I am I ventured via Glossop as I had an empty,■■■■ fine scenery to be had heading for Hayfield, serious nostalgiafest.Didn’t expect to be diverted via New mills due to a mary mungo ahead  thought I’d identified them on mi atlas, yet the snooper wants me heading straight for the bugger wtf?as it transpired the factory was smack in the centre of Chinley itself ffs,the postcode totally misleading, they don’t waste auxillary info on us box jocks thanurz. All told a stimulating delivery away from the dull blue chip circuit, but the A6 is most def the way.
