Little Ireland was I believe two neighbouring houses located at 111 & 113 Ashley Road in Boscombe (Bournemouth). The buildings don’t appear to be there now but were known as “Little Ireland” for some years when they were used by irish truckers. (Who presumably parked overnight in Kings Park Lorry Park) At one point or another most of the Dennigan family lived at the house. I am looking for any memories or photos of the house and the area and just maybe if I’m really lucky a photo of the Dennigans themselves.
I really don’t have that much information here but if anyone has any recollections, particularly regarding a Lawrence Dennigan, it would greatly help someone to trace their family history.

Hi Vic, I can understand your dissapointment there but today I think you’d have been glad! Bournemouth is now completely overrun by students and hen/stag partys at night! You’d never sleep!
I didn’t mention dates in the first post but this would have been in the 1960’s, maybe 70’s and I’m guessing it was like a B&B for lorry drivers who were most likely using the Kings Park lorry park for the night or weekend. I have spoken to someone who lived and grew up just across the road from it in the 70’s and they never heard of it so I’m not too hopeful of a result!

only thing boscum is good for is crack , smack and prozzies
When I worked in Ensbury Park in the late 60,s I had a flat in Boscombe and it was right opposite the Boscombe Ballrooms , it was above the Black Cat Cafe. Boscombe was nice then but now is the seedy end of B,mouth with a murder a couple of years ago and chris says is the drug area of town.
