Seen these on ebay and just wondered if anyone has bought one? If so what are they like?
They look a good bit of kit for the price.

Had one as well, to be honest its better IN MY OPINION than the £400 + sat navs, wish i had’nt bought the snooper now

Yes, I got one for £59 from that seller, someone sent me some truck software for it that so you can set up weights and heights in it. I did have to ditch some foreign maps and languages to get enough capacity on the 4gb card to put the new software in but I haven’t had chance to test it out since. I did use it with the original software when I had it and it worked very well (no major ■■■■ ups) but of course you still have to use common sense with any of these devices.
Remarkable bit of kit for the money though, it plays mp3 tracks, video and handles bluetooth phones. You have to remember its an lcd screen and not brilliant with bright sunlight on the screen, so does need some shading in those conditions.
I think the truck software I got for it was called Igo primo 2.0 which I downloaded off a mates machine on to my pc then transfered it to mine.

See this guy, he’s a trucker and sells the same one but with the hgv software on and give a proper warrenty, he’s a real nice guy and i have used him for a couple of things, you can even call him !!

Looks like a Chinese crap copy with pirated software to me.

They work. I bought one instead of forking out for a snooper truck satnav. Just use common sense with it.

And this comes from your extensive personal knowledge of the system being discussed because you have used one for sometime now■■?
or just because you looked at the picture and decided you know more than people who have actually used it??
As always with this forum lately every thread seems to get hijacked by some knoob head with an attitude who just wants to stick there dirty great oor in when they have no actual experience of the things being discussed,
but hey thanks anyway your valuble input im sure it has been duly noted and filed in the appropriate recepticle.

Had mine for 8 months and its been fine, you can’t knock it for the price.
None of these sat navs support the PocketGPS speed camera database, which as a lifetime member, is crucial for me, and that is such a shame because if they did, I would have one like a shot for the price.
Ken.
ive had one for about 6 months ,only problems using it is. as someone else said ,it doesnt like sunlight. i am also struggling to update the maps (free) but thats probably down to me being a luddite am going to let son in law have a go hes a real smartarse
I have had one for almost a year now and yes it doesnt like sunlight nearly impossible to see.
Other problem i find with it is in london there is restrictions for different times of the day on different routes and it cant distinguish this no matter what time you set the local clock on it at.
i cant get it to route a different way past these and when you enter it just seems to keep flashing up a warning you are in a restricted area and wont show how to leave the area as the warning keeps flashing up on the screen.
does anyone know does snooper distinguish between the hgv time bans around london

my £300 garmin has the same problem! when i finally get the money to order one of those satnavs, i think i’ll get a sun shade to go with it. got to be better than trying to wedge a clip board in the right place ti shade it

don’t think i’ve seen a satnav yet that wasn’t made in china. i don’t give a toss what brand it is, so long as it works. at the last place i worked, i used to get the ■■■■ taken out of me for not having a snap on tool chest. mine is made by the well known tool manufacturer Boxo but comes with the same guarantee and was about 1/4 of the price.
they look nice sat navs and good price too
but do they do what tom toms do
do they re route you if you miss turning
can you do alternative route if the road ahead is blocked
I’ve got one which looks very similar - comes with Igo and some other software. I’ve had very little problem with it - there are a couple of glitches (it won’t route you via the Dartford Tunnel due to the weight limit for example, and doesn’t understand the times for the London Lorry ban - sent me down a really tight residential area the other week until I realised what was going on), but overall it works well. Mine also came with a clip-on sunshield, although I very rarely use it.
As it’s Windows CE based, you also get some games and other bits on it, but sadly you can’t put Kindle software on it - otherwise it would have been spot-on for me and would have been one less gadget to find a space for!
As with any satnav though, it’s only any use as a support, rather than the only brain in the cab!
