No, but I was planning on coming back that way later. Maybe I will go up the A36 after all.

Finally made it to portbury, the car transporter is truly burnt to a crisp. I hope the driver got out!
I was on the eastbound carriageway about 300 yards from the scene when they stopped both carriageways.
It went up like a bloody bonfire. Could see the flames rising a good way into the air.
It was parked neatly on the hard shoulder so I’m guessing the driver had a bit of time to sort himself out and get well away.
