Like i said before (and Coffee did too), if it’s not in the rules, don’t get confused by adding it!!
You only end up with more and more ‘WAITING ROOM’ tall tales and armchair experts who know very little.

Yeah, I was in it about the time you posted. They keep putting in short total closures some nights at the moment for the gantry works, could well be the same tomorrow as they also did it last Friday night/Saturday morning. And yes, you can stick it on break and relax if you wish.
Good point, IIRC all the preceeding gantry signs were blank/To J5 35miles 30…/A345673 closed. I bloody checked as well before leaving Birmingham, choosing m1 over m40. And when i got there I thought I saw a police car/ambulance car going thru so assumed accident.
Had myself a coffee, browsed/posted on TNUK, text the mrs, called depot to say Id miss 6am deadline, had a snickers(they were out of yorkies), had a coffee, scratched my arse if thats not freely disposing of my time Im not sure what is!!!
Still not sure what the official answer is but seems to make sense if it can be a break. You have no idea how long it will be so by definition POA is out. If you can get in atleast a 15 then that will help with wtd if the incovienience of roadworks/accident will push u over ur six!

No idea, I was having a nap and didn’t wake up until we came to a halt. There was a sign n/b between J9 and J10 saying gantry works, delays possible but that has been there since last week and there were no gantry works some nights. If you go north earlier in the evening and see a truck with a gantry on it parked in Toddington s/b that usually means delays later in the night. There was one just going into Toddington last night when we went past a little after nine o’clock.
