We are a firm of solicitors acting for a client who is suffering from mesothelioma which is almost always caused by exposure to asbestos. Our client is now very ill and as a result if anyone is able to provide any information in reply to this post then it will be greatly appreciated.
Although we cannot divulge specific information about the matter we are instructed that he was a HGV driver employed by Charles Poulter Ltd and transported goods to and from Cape Asbestos in Tolpits Lane, Watford.
The vehicle us drove was a Ford Thames Trader 1000.
We have come across the following post on this forum as a result would welcome any information / assistance with our enquiries :

Truckyboy, heres a name from the 60’ you may remember, light brown, bullnosed mercs, Charlie Poulter. used to see em all the time when I as traveling with my Dad in the 60’sWeren’t they a Davis Bros. subsidiary? Or am I mixing them up with someone else?
you are right ,charles poulter was owned by solly davies but it was separate from davies bros, i worked for both companies at sometime in the 60s ,poulter and thomas potter priestly were based in the highway, harry, hubby and sammy ran davies bros in wapping high rd. there was another brother frankie, who ran bow bells trans based in the minories beside tower bridge but all he was interested in was fruit to the markets .in the posting before this one ,there is a sca truck with a photo of tony burroughs who was on poulters same time as me, there was a lot of faces on those companies, all the villians in london was on there at some time or another.
Any information about Charles Poulter Ltd / Davis Bros and / or their connection with Cape Asbestos may very much help.
We would welcome speaking to anyone connected with or employed by Charles Poulter or Davis Bros.
