Given that they have just cut subbies rates by 5%, cut the fuel escalator by 1% with promises of more cuts to come in the April review, I would say it was unlikely.

I am on agency With ND, I will let you know if I hear anything, company lads had a union meeting a few weeks back, they were discussing what to ask for, I heard 9% mentioned, I couldn’t help laughing

Always start high because you know your always going to get knocked down. The company I used to work for, in this current climate just got 5.3% pay rise and they where already on £32500 salary a year.
Even an “inflation busting 4%” would only push £8ph upto £8.32.
Wages have been falling compared to inflation for over a decade, so a real terms catchup pay rise here would take it to over a tenner - I’m not holding my breath here!

I was agency with ND now full time with them, they treat the agency same as there full timers, they seem a good company to work for but you will never be rich.

Norberts have a annual pay review every year on 1 April, the Unite union always get involved and it drags on for 2-3 months then Norberts and the unions give a little ground and the pay rise gets back dated. Normally only 1-2 % but we always got something.
Won’t affect me this year as I left in January after 7 years.
I don’t know how much bargaining power the lads at the ND place where I work on agency have left, it used to be a TDG yard and when ND took over, the pay dates changed, the union went mental about it as it was going to mean a 6 week gap between pay dates to get on the ND dates, they threatened to strike over it. But in the end each employee was given a few hundred pounds as a loan, repayable when they left the company, not a bad deal I suppose.
No pay rise, nobby are saving up to buy eddies go karts.
