Anybody else see them? A1

The problem seems to be with non Brits arrested by the cops for bail able offences is they seem to be given exactly that - bail. Watch any cop show and its always the same; bailed then disappears. Why can’t they just hold them until their court appearance? There’s no point nicking them if they then go on the run is there?? Being asked to walk to the detention centre rather than being transported there :unamused: :unamused:

Stupid country. These people are laughing at us. The same as these preachers who are given legal aid and benefits to contest their deportation as there might be a risk of torture, we can’t have that can we?

I’m really not sure what’s going on in this country any more, certainly these decisions are not being made for the benefit of the majority, so who for then?? It can’t just be about money can it?

And breathe…

Can’t believe they would be bailed if its found they have just entered the country.

For illegals living in a bedsit etc then yeah

Ahh, I see. You’ve got more cameras in the cab than Mark Dixon!

Getting more & more worth having one though with the amount of muppetry about.

I got level with the driver and give him a good honk of the horn to make him aware and then he and his mate pulled into the next layby just before colsterworth. Dialled 999 straight away as I don’t wanna be paying for yet more illegals!

Anyway they said they were sending someone out and took a few details. I hadn’t got far past colsterworth before I met 5 police cars and a van coming flying down the A1 towards Colsterworth. Just wondered if anyone had seen any police activity in the Colsterworth area and whether they’d managed to nick the stowaways?!

Matt.

Good lad, irrespective of how our legal system ■■■■■ up their deportation, you’ve done the right thing.

The only reason I have & use a Gopro, is that I have (2x of) them for use on my motorcycle travels.
When sat idle in my camera case it makes sense to use 1 of them to cover my back in the event of muppetry. However I don’t always carry 1, and as usual in these situations, extreme muppetry happens, as was the case on Monday afternoon when I was heading south on the M1 over the tinsley viaduct. When a truck pulling a step frame trailer pulled out to overtake me, little did I know but he was carrying a couple of piles of 1/2" plywood off cuts strapped across to trailer. In my mirror I saw a couple of pieces come loose & fly off, and when he pulled past me he bounced off the bridge joint in the road and a piece of 1/2".ply around 4ft x 3ft flew off his trailer, the wind caught it & blew it into the front of my truck, slamming it into the windscreen, luckily for me 1 corner/edge of the ply panel hit the black fill panel below the screen of the CF between the o/s wiper pivot and the handle punching a hole in it. IF it had landed higher if suspect it may have come through the screen and maybe decapitated me! However it didn’t and I managed to flag the driver down, pull him over at J34 and inform him (with some cery choice words) he was loosing his loaded & pieces of it had hit my truck.
Even though I was unhurt the company have downloaded the road hawk and are investigating the incident with a view to further action

Sorry about the quality, theres not a huge amount of detail & I rushed the rendering
the dog van is the 1st cop car you see at the beginning behind the Artex truck

The drivers should have carried on up to Newark, then turned of onto the Lincoln road, as around 1/2 mile from the Halfway house roundabout is the Morton Hall immigration removal centre

By the looks of it you have just stopped watching a video on your lap top lol

Result. It’s that slow motion, gut wrenching moment when you see an impact coming but there’s nothing you can do about it…

had it happen SEVERAL times when i was bus driving, usually some young muppet stood behind a tree ETC with a housebrick! They aim at the windscreen and lob… 80% of the time they miss… HOPELESSLY, but the other 20 you get a housebrick through the screen… which I can assure you even at at a mere 25MPH is bloody scary!

Puppetry? Is in an impromptu rendition of Sooty and Sweep on the motorway?

To say it was a brown trouser moment is an understatement, its a good job the Road Hawk doesn’t capture sound, with the expleatives I used when I spoke to the driver would make a nun blush
I hope to download that road hawk to a SD card for my own copy, but I don`t know if I need special software to view the video & info

Handy also for filming truck drivers hiding behind their frilly curtains while chatting on the mobile pressed to their ear thinking no one can see them
