Random I know, but, I truely am becoming sick to death of mankind.

If its not their vile ignorance, its the laziness, spinelessness, selfishness, the bragging…

You cant have anything nice, our peace and quiet is eroded by trolls with traps like cat flaps, the lack of care, concern, manners and privacy is just non existent nowadays.
The quality of life has truly took a disgusting plunge in the last 20yr, we truely have become such an arrogant country full of people who truely believe they are gods gift, and are entitled to whatever they want, when they want, how they want and ■■■■ anyone else.

When did mankind become so odious, SPECIFICALLY THE ENGLISH from age 5- 60?

Today in a lift I’ve my lad with me, he’s three, there were just me,misses and him in it so not exactly tight for space…
So door opens an This FAT 40 something year old woman just struts’ in, done up like mutton, weighed down with fancy bags, gobbing off on phone about some poxy holiday and how super she is…yawn…
anyway so I pulls me lad into my leg, she looks at me pulling him into me out of courtesy, it has a ton of room too stand a mile away from us, but no…it walks in swing’s round an cracks my lad in face, specifically his eye and Then stands there with its back too us, with the bags wedged in his face!!

So I taps it on shoulder and says…excuse me but…well it tuts, turns round, looks at me and just carry’s on.
Well that’s it for my misses she lost it with this troll, well it were absolutely demolished after 12 seconds, it hit the next button for the next floor, and proceeded to walk out, pausing for a second to pick up the bags my other half ripped off its shoulder after politely telling it that if it didn’t apologise to my son she would be eating the bags through a straw, well it apologised but I wouldn’t have said it were meaningful, mind fear was more at the front of her mind judging by her face.

Cannot believe that the only resolve to anything like the above is to have too lower ourselves to the level in order for a supposedly middle class person to get a grip, and bloody well apologise for what is THEIR IGNORANCE in the first place!!

Sorry Gents its just really bugging me to the point I’m contemplating loading a rucksack and p1551ng off too Ghana to join the gold rush, so sick of the ignorance in this country.

TFFT thought I were becoming one of this new breed.

I wouldn’t have minded so much if she had just apologised, but they were heavy bags with very sharp corners, has scratched him quite viciously…like an old skool chicken or paper cut, where it cut skin but no bled…well you know what I mean…

Did good few years up near Brid, Yorkshire… Totally different folk, was the majority of time in a different league to down here, people just seemed far more earthy and honest, warts an all.

Essex in parts is a beautiful county, its just being flooded full of pish from QE2 northwards now.

I think I always have been, and I guess that is why I have always preferred working by myself. And now sort of retired I can go weeks without speaking to anyone other than the wife, which is perfect. Somebody up thread jokingly suggested Alsaka with only wolves and bears for company … that would be my dream.

It does puzzle me my interst in forums like this, if I can’t be bothered with others why do I join in ? maybe because I don’t believe anyone is for real, just pretend people … i can cope with those, just switch them off when bored of them.

I don’t completely agree OP. Yes society has changed, but then it always has. It’s different nowadays, I suppose you could say people don’t look out for each other but I know of people who look out for their neighbours, make sure the old lady next door is ok etc.

Back in the 1930’s and to just before the war, working class people and women were in particular treated pretty badly. They were looked down upon by the higher echelons of society as scum really. It was all yes sir no sir. An employer could make totally unreasonable demands of an employee without even a please or thank you, or sack you for no reason whatever.

During the war, at the start only officers flew aircraft on sorties over Europe, as only they (not the working classes) were seen as good enough to fly. It was only when they had all been killed that the Sergeant Pilot came into being. After landing a commissioned pilot might not even speak to his NCO aircrew or be seen with them.

See what I mean? Things have changed, not totally for the better but that wouldn’t happen to the same degree now.

I was told when I was younger that the older generation were polite, well mannered and the youngsters
nowadays were all rude. I have learnt over time that that is complete bollox. Old people can be the most rudest lot you can come across. :laughing:

People do race for life for cancer charities, volunteer at food banks, care fondly for animals, if an old lady fell over in the street in my area, people would help her up and walk her home.

So you see society has changed, but you can’t look back with rose tinted specs and think no one gives a ■■■■ nowadays. It’s just different.

People have always been rude, ignorant and xenophobic. Having seen some of the world I can say that the Brits are certainly no worse than anyone else.

I could go on and on, all I’ll say is don’t run your country down. You could do a lot worse couldn’t you?
