Just psyching self up to swap cab mounts on our 03 Alpha… looks a bloody funny set up… any experiences?? all advice welcome to pass onto our fitter who looks pale every time he has a look under… need to gee him on a bit before chassis painting at month end!!!

It’s an easy task …looks scarier than it is …Take grill off to prevent damaging it .Use a ratchet strap with a crane,put the ■■■■■■■■ the cab ,there is 2 cut outs that are good ,your fitter should see them triangular shaped i think .Also remove lover grill and possibly headlamp surround …Undo shocks,jack up cab ,and i cant remember how the caps undo ,but it is simple he’ll figure it out when he sees it ,It’s only a couple of hours to do

if the top cab mounts are the same as the XF, then the end caps need a slide hammer to get them out, and then there is a locking bolt sort of underneath the front of the mount which will need to be removed before the pin will come out
it looks worse than it actually is
XF 95 is different to the CF 85 set .105 Set up looks similar .but again is different
