Any views on battery pack for TomTom?

Hi all, Done a quick search for opinions and found only one on the forum that seems positive. However had a quick look at Amazon reviews and somebody has slated them saying they don’t work.

Had an issue with a multi drop route today being stuck in a van with a bust ■■■ lighter connection. Still got round ok but probably added a good hour to my days work.

They claim and extra 10hrs battery life

If anyone is wondering what I mean here’s a link to a battery pack on Ebay

just keep it plugged in, tomtom batteries are crap and get a lead to run off main car/truck batteries

Review from Amazon

Simply doesn’t do what it claims to do - 10 hours? I got about 35 mins time out of it once the original internal battery had drained - sent it back, got another one which was exactly the same. Pointless, as a fully charged TomTom gives about 2 hours with it’s own internal battery.
There may be a reason why TomTom themselves don’t make an external battery pack for this product - and this may be it.
Not recommended in the slightest, personally speaking.

Tell you what am gonna do! Seen this on Maplin website. Should be perfect n sure I will use it for other stuff like a bit of camping n that.

By the way tested the Maplin power pack in my prev post and it works a treat! Absolute bargain considering how much time n hassle it’s gonna save me. Would def recommend it.
