Hello Guys,

Passed me Theory and HPT this morning! Thank god :slight_smile:

My test is booked for Mon June 6th with Max at Dave Robbins (Exeter) Top bloke!

Any tips you can reccomend? I am doing 8hrs driving on the Saturday and 6Hours driving on the Sunday followed by an hour driving on the Monday morning just before my test :slight_smile:

I have been on an assessment, went really well! Im aware to check mirrors every 5 seconds lol and obviously any change of direction etc.

Im absolutely buzzing for it :slight_smile:

Haha good luck :slight_smile: it’s easy if you don’t panic on the test. Also if you make a mistake, just learn from it and don’t worry about it, such as clipping a kerb every so often.

done mine around Exeter few months back, couple of nasty spots but nothing majorly bad. Just keep checking them mirrors and plenty of awareness / planning and you’ll be fine. Enjoy it as much as you can, even the test it really helps! Ryan.

Don’t be a bully but don’t be over cautious. When overtaking parked cars, mirrors signal then go for it. Once you’ve committed they will let you through. Its a fine line but if you think you can get round the obsetical before they reach you then do it.

No worries, I done my training with Steve Robertson, was really good. I did look at Dave Robbins who I think you said you’re with? Not sure what made me go with Steve though lol wish you all the best though I’m sure you’ll be fine :smiley:

Forgot to ask, is it around the Exeter area you live?? And do you have any potential worked lined up for the magic moment of when you pass??

Yeah seem to remember my instructor Jason mentioning something about that in my course, nice one with the straight 6 that’s what I passed on except it was a daf cf and the box was pretty ■■■■■ but it was straight 6 lol exactly mate and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I had spent ages imagining it being haha! No worries, yeah hopefully catch you out and about mate! Nice one with the work makes life a lot easier not having to stress finding work. Yeah mate I’ve been working for Gardner distribution out near crealy adventure park for a few months now and loving it :smiley: :smiley:

Ah Brilliant mate! Did you find it tough finding work? And is that class 2 or class 1?

It’s class 2 mate I’ve not got round to booking my class 1 yet but will get to it one day lol! Nah I didn’t I had my job all sorted and secured before I got my licence just didn’t get a solid start date until I had licence etc in hand :smiley: my boss gives new starts a go mate so should you need to give me a pm when your ready and I’ll give you a contact number.

What does Gardner do? What is the wages like (not asking your wage) lol

Gardner are palletised distribution, it’s salery @ £420 a week £490 if you work Saturday morning. Wages are around average for this area I think and works not to bad some days I’ve done as little as 7/8 drops with 3 Colls other days it’s been 16 drops with no colls so very varied but great atmosphere other drivers and warehouse staff are all a good bunch and office bods and bosses are spot on as well. Don’t have any complaints about working there at all.
