I’m with Rob on this. It’s the same thing after you have used a call centre and you get asked to rate the operator on how they did.
However, if I am in a store, or a restaurant, whatever, if I receive over and above customer service as a matter of course, I will genuinely go out of my way to contact that persons manager/supervisor, to ensure that my praise is given to them and that they have gone over and above their daily duties without having to be asked or prompted.
It happened recently in boots when I had a problem printing some photos from my phone.
Genuine customer service should be earned, not solicited.
