Did a year class 2 on Agency with no experience. Got my current class 1 job with only a few weeks experience in Artics.
I got my first start with a company 3 weeks after passing my class 2. I then left after 3 months, 2 weeks later for my second start with another.
At the beginning you sometimes have to take the dregs to get the experience. It’s crap and you will question your sanity but it does improve. Easiest places to get into are those that involve handball or pallet network and multi drop.
Keep plugging away and you will get there. I’ve found all my work through indeed.
Anyone should be able to get a start with agencies, just be prepared to do the crud that no one else wants for a while…

I’ve applied for a fair few jobs just not getting much luck don’t know if its my age or they’re just not reading my applications haha!
when you do get that first bit of experience, they will be falling over themselves to offer you work. I’ve had my class 2 for 15 years and I can take my pick of class 2 work. shame it’s class 1 that I’m looking for, being a new pass, all I keep getting is closed doors and the usual agency bs
James. A quick tip. Those who cannot find work are predominantly ginger.
Hair dye will increase your employability. And if you ain’t a ginge, just keep trying mate.
adding to beavers advice, why not dye your hair jet black? a nice side parting? short back and sides always says “I’m neat and tidy and apply the same principles to my work”
maybe you could consider facial hair so prospective employers take you more seriously? how about a very short moustache? always makes the right impression.
and when you go to the interview, what makes you memorable? what makes you stand out in the interviewers mind? how about learning another language? a well timed German phrase will make all the difference, trust me.
Wise words from Jbaz.
If you do gain employment based on his advice, be careful not to cause problems with any Polish employee’s though.
The ice is starting to look a little thin on this thread, I’m out!
