Any Info On Milk Tanker Work

GasGas:
I can’t really answer that with any degree of accuracy Steve, because it’s decades since I worked on a dairy farm.

In the days of MMB it was a matter of drive from farm to farm as fast as you could because the farmers and dairymen liked a chat.

That was the great part of the job though wasn’t it? Rest assured there was normally a cup of tea waiting at the farms then connect the pipe up and have a good old chat
Like most things, I would expect it has changed but it’s probably okay.

What depot did you run out of?

I didn’t mate, I was a farm worker!

Haha…you may have made us tea then

Before the days of mobile phones and facebook the tanker driver and the postman were where you got all the local gossip

hello all.

A chap mentioned the need for a ‘reducer.’
I’m looking for one. Can anyone supply information as to where I might pick one up? A 3 to 2 1/2" one.

try Laval (Alpha Laval?) in Ellsmere Shropshire

One of the best topics on here for a long time - very interesting and didn’t end up a slanging match and slagging off companies or other drivers! Really well done all the posters!

If its farms you’re doing, when your dragging both mirrors through the hedges on both sides of the road, dig the right hand mirror in harder. That way you don’t have to stop to fold it back out when it gets pushed in.
