Any Ideas

Anyone know what these are?

In a compartment under the bunk, have Air & electrical connections, some kind of pressure sensors■■?

Got an air leak, and don’t know what these are or what they are called

put your tongue on them, if you don’t die, they not be important

They look like compressed air solenoid valves, could of been used for anything.

that’s the crankshaft mate

it’s a goner

NAH! They’re FU-FU valves  unique to ERF’s

But seriously, they look like presets; an alternative to a fuse. The third one looks like it’s tripped.

What truck is it on?
Just a guess, but they could be adjustable switches for a retarder. As you press the brake pedal and the air pressure increases, each one will switch in in turn.
I’ve seen similar on buses with preset switches.

Edit;
On second thoughts, if that’s right, it would only leak with the footbrake on.
Which gauge is dropping as it leaks? What stops working as the air leaks away?

Just a question, but are you still running that beloved ERF girl?..

Si ,Jake says they are the control solenoids for diff lock ,engine stop ( on smaller engine ) ,lift axle ect ect , on The first models they were under the cab near side front on number 1 air tank ,later under the bunk .

It looks like they might have been blanked off. If they’re not in use you could probably just clamp off the air supply hoses going to them.

If you want to replace them you wouldn’t need original parts a reasonable truck mechanic would be able to plumb in generic 24v replacements.

The third one looks like it has had a problem in the past, and someone has gobbed a bolt in in place of whatever was there before,
The second one is now leaking imtermittently
