Every week when I fill up at the Shell Meer truckstop on the Belgian side of the Dutch/Belgian border, I notice this sign located on a patch of grass about 50 metres from the pumps and I wonder what it means? Are there any similar signs back in Blighty?
If it is to indicate a muster point in the case of some emergency, then it’s in the worst place possible as most drivers seem to use that patch of grass to take a ■■■■ on while their tank is filling. Also, why is there no female on the sign to take into account the lady truckers? Or a male with a red X over one leg and a shopping bag for the agency limpers?

Could be beneficial for anyone on fire due to the ‘emergency’.
