Any bike mechanics on her

Sort bloody Valentino m1 out, really thought he’d be there or there abouts by now, just watching him Sunday was painfullJorge slowing it down,mm not flat out trying to stay out well, and v still couldn’t keep up,
Just hope new crew chief can sort it out. :frowning:

If they took all the telemetry and traction control malarkey off, then Rossi would be back on the podium. It is Pedrosa who makes the racing boring, bellyaching and sticking his bottom lip out. Both those Hondas should be walking away with the points, Marquez has done but Jorge has given him a fair run this year. Jorge missed Germany which would have given him the title again as there were only 4 points between them.

I will not write Rossi off yet but am pleased to see so many Brits being consistent

I did find it amusing when the commentary team said that Lorenzo was backing it up! Well I suppose to a certain extent he was, but it’s worth bearing in mind that during the “backing up” period the lap record was broken three times!

My feeling is that once the dust settles and Lorenzo gives a dispassionate interview he’ll admit that bashing fairings like he did with Dani made him feel guilty as he’s been one of the more vocal protesters of Marcs riding style over this year.

All in all a quality years racing with an exceptional new talent and Lorenzo riding better and harder than he’s eve had to just to keep up with Marquez.

Btw, I have a friend of a friend who when he heard Marquez was going into the top class put a grand on him winning the championship in his rookie year. He got odds then of 125 to 1 against! I never have this sort of foresight which is why I’m still driving a truck for a living.

slightly off topic but does anyone know if AIM Yamaha ,formerly ETI ducati are still running . have googled but only seem to get old news

I’m not a bike mechanic but I’ll have a go on her of she’s fit or bi

I don’t think Lorenzo was happy with the blocking tactics at all, so took it on his own decision to just go for the win despite his team telling him to slow down.
Surprised Rossi sacked Gerry Burgess after all these years, but I got the impression Burgess wasn’t happy about going back to Yamaha from comments he made at the time.
If they could get Bradley Smith to keep up the pace he starts with he’d be on a winner.
I don’t think I’ll be watching next year seeing how it’s going to BT sport. I pay Sky enough as it is they ain’t having any more. Pity as I think it’s going to be an interesting year.

I gather Burgess and Rossi had a mutual agreement, he tried to retire three years ago when his wife was ill but Rossi wanted him to join him again with Yamaha. It has been a formidable team, but maybe all the flyaway stuff has got to him, and is looking after his family.

Meanwhile Bradley Smith has got 2nd fastest on the Tech 3

he got some upgrades that cal had got earlier in the year and like them!!

unfortunately…father time waits for no man.rossi is over the hill.

Still convinced Stoner ducked out of the game too early. sorry, but i am !!

yeah, it would’ve been good to see him against marquez on the same machinery

It would be very interesting that’s for sure, but I can’t see it happening as Stoner would be risking everything and Marquez nothing! Can you imagine if Stoner got beaten? He’d then have to continue to race until he (not guaranteed) beat Marquez. The mind of a World champion absolutely needs to work on the basis that he’s undoubtedly the best and the rest are merely also rans. That’s the way I used to think and I was a lowly club racer and absolutely nowhere near these top guys.

I do think that Marquez will become the best we’ve ever seen though.

I quite agree fella, but stoner keeps doing tests on the bikes, so you never know!

Stoner was down to ride at Phillip Island as a wildcard and to ride Bradls bike, however Bradl managed to get fit in time.

I haven’t written Rossi off yet either.

I’ve not written Rossi off but I’m getting the Impression that next season may be do or go. It seems having POl in the garage has given Bradley the shove he needed, the only one faster than him in the latest test was Marquez and there wasn’t much in it.
Would like to watch next years season but I can’t bring to pay sky any more.
Never was a Stoner fan, always thought he was a good rider spoilt by a bad attitude.

I think AIM have gone, was over near their old workshop on Stakehill last year and no sign of life.

Switching the subject a little, any educated guesses out there as to when John Mcguinness might hang his lid up? Hell have just turned 42 come the 2014 TT, and Michael Dunlop will have just turned 25. I know Michaels having a racing/normal life balancing crisis at the mo, coupled with some Honda factory niggles, but after his barnstorming success this year (minus the senior, of course) I dont think hell be able to resist participating. Anstey & Donald will be only too keen to fill the void if they can! Sadly, I cant see Guy Martin gaining any ground with Suzuki unless they pull some developements out of the bag. Switching back again, loved ya Marco - will never forget.

After Macau. Hutchy is back. I don’t think you will see Guy on the top step on the island, but JMG has got a lot left to do it again.

Dunlop will rule the irish roads though.

Good news indeed about Hutch returning to the island with serious intent. 29 ops in three years? These guys have got balls of pure titanium. Fantastic podium on the 16th, eh? Nearly two & a half seconds on Rutter (himself an 8 times winner) Got an onboard full lap of Ians that takes my breath away. Bring it on, boys - cant wait!!
