Sent the Application with £19.- Fee on 28th November and another last Week with another £19.- Fee.

Um, i seem to remember they can give you an authorisation code so that you can drive without a card for a short period (15 days IIRC?) until it arrives, you just need to take printouts. Or have you used that period up already?

That Code is only if you report Card as lost or stolen.
In my Case were Driving Standart Agency to give Permission,but they do not. Phoned them

Unless you’ve never ever had a tacho card before, if it’s faulty, lost, stolen, expired and awaiting replacement… ■■■■ 'em, drive without card for 15 days and do printouts.

I’ve worked at firms that would give you a disciplinary - if you left it to the last minute to get a replacement card for any reason.
Apparently, one is “supposed” to order a new card when one has the next week off on stat leave. FFS how is THAT ever going to work when working on agency?
Yes, you can drive without a card for 15 days with double printouts etc. - but I always remember the 8P rule with things like this:-

Had my renewed licence and tacho card about a month before the old ones ran out, it’s all part of having a professional attitude.
